The research focuses on general concepts of lighting and related problems, and its significance in the life of humans taking into consideration that light : - Contributes in achieving psychological well-being. - Maintains visual health. - Reduces work- related injuries and achieve public safety. This study has focuses on the visual considerations and principles of lighting, in order to project it on the case of Yemen and to add more principles to the construction rules and regulations. So the visual study would be integrated within the architecture study at the time of designing future residential buildings. This research concludes with a set of recommendations and suggestions .

right to participate in decision-making in the design process.
The research presents a field study on the posts in the design of residential buildings
in the city of Latakia in order to check the impact of user participation on the quality of the
residential building designed by measuring the relationship between the degree of user
participation and the amount of satisfaction from their homes.
The research found that the user has the participation of a major role in raising the
quality of the design of the apartment building in the city of Latakia in line with available
resources.
The typical and comfortable lighting is the one that responds to the
requirements of both health and economy. The more architecture is
able to achieve good lighting that provides adequate conditions for
living and practicing various activities, the better productivity is.

attention for the culture heritage and have worked diligently to
protect and preserve it as this heritage is considered the belonging of
all humanity. The restoration and reviving the function of the
historic buildings are one of the most important methodologies of
archaeological preservation and modernization of the culture
property. Moreover, it supports the development of the region in
terms of service and social aspects, tourism and economic
developments. This research sheds the light on some of the local
experiences in the restoration of archaeological residential buildings
and determines the pros of these experiments on the archaeological
apartment building and the cons of the random studying and
executive implementation in some of the buildings.
The aim of this study, the development of systems and controls set
standards and methods of restoration and protection and maintenance
to operate this business in the right direction and straighten restoration
goals in the right direction away from reconstructive mistakes that we
are experiencing as a result of the absence of references and standards
