Jacobi forms of lattice index, whose theory can be viewed as extension of the theory of classical Jacobi forms, play an important role in various theories, like the theory of orthogonal modular forms or the theory of vertex operator algebras. Every Jacobi form of lattice index has a theta expansion which implies, for index of odd rank, a connection to half integral weight modular forms and then via Shimura lifting to modular forms of integral weight, and implies a direct connection to modular forms of integral weight if the rank is even. The aim of this thesis is to develop a Hecke theory for Jacobi forms of lattice index extending the Hecke theory for the classical Jacobi forms, and to study how the indicated relations to elliptic modular forms behave under Hecke operators. After defining Hecke operators as double coset operators, we determine their action on the Fourier coefficients of Jacobi forms, and we determine the multiplicative relations satisfied by the Hecke operators, i.e. we study the structural constants of the algebra generated by the Hecke operators. As a consequence we show that the vector space of Jacobi forms of lattice index has a basis consisting of simultaneous eigenforms for our Hecke operators, and we discover the precise relation between our Hecke algebras and the Hecke algebras for modular forms of integral weight. The latter supports the expectation that there exist equivariant isomorphisms between spaces of Jacobi forms of lattice index and spaces of integral weight modular forms. We make this precise and prove the existence of such liftings in certain cases. Moreover, we give further evidence for the existence of such liftings in general by studying numerical examples.

This paper presents work carried out to transform glosses of a fable in Italian Sign Language (LIS) into a text which is then read by a TTS synthesizer from an SSML modified version of the same text. Whereas many systems exist that generate sign lang uage from a text, we decided to do the reverse operation and generate text from LIS. For that purpose we used a version of the fable The Tortoise and the Hare, signed and made available on Youtube by ALBA cooperativa sociale, which was annotated manually by second author for her master's thesis. In order to achieve our goal, we converted the multilayer glosses into linear Prolog terms to be fed to the generator. In the paper we focus on the main problems encountered in the transformation of the glosses into a semantically and pragmatically consistent representation. The main problems have been caused by the complexities of a text like a fable which requires coreference mechanisms and speech acts to be implemented in the representation which are often unexpressed and constitute implicit information.
Terfenadine reacts with mixed anhydriedes (Malonic and acetic anhydrides) producing a yellow-coulored product with intense fluorescence. Based on this fact, a spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of terfendaine in dosage f orms. The relation between the absorbance at 395 nm and the concentration is rectilinear over the range 0.5-5 μg.ml-1. The reaction product was also measured spectrofluorimetrically at 435 nm after excitation at 395 nm. The fluorescence intensity was directly proportional to the concentration over the range 0.5-4 ng.ml-1. The different parameters affecting the development and stability of the reaction product were carefully studied and incorporated into the procedure. The proposed spectrophotometric method was successfully applied to the determination of terfenadine in tablets and suspensions; the % recoveries were 99.83 ± 0.75 and 99.65 ± 0.83, respectively. The proposed spectrofluorimetric method was applied to the determination of terfenadine in spiked human plasma. the % recovery was 99.35 ± 2.19. The method is highly sensitive and specific. No interference was noticed from co-formulated drugs, such as pseudoephedrine and ibuprofen.
We implement the formalization of natural logic-like monotonic inference using Unscoped Episodic Logical Forms (ULFs) by Kim et al. (2020). We demonstrate this system's capacity to handle a variety of challenging semantic phenomena using the FraCaS d ataset (Cooper et al., 1996). These results give empirical evidence for prior claims that ULF is an appropriate representation to mediate natural logic-like inferences.
Extracting relations across large text spans has been relatively underexplored in NLP, but it is particularly important for high-value domains such as biomedicine, where obtaining high recall of the latest findings is crucial for practical applicatio ns. Compared to conventional information extraction confined to short text spans, document-level relation extraction faces additional challenges in both inference and learning. Given longer text spans, state-of-the-art neural architectures are less effective and task-specific self-supervision such as distant supervision becomes very noisy. In this paper, we propose decomposing document-level relation extraction into relation detection and argument resolution, taking inspiration from Davidsonian semantics. This enables us to incorporate explicit discourse modeling and leverage modular self-supervision for each sub-problem, which is less noise-prone and can be further refined end-to-end via variational EM. We conduct a thorough evaluation in biomedical machine reading for precision oncology, where cross-paragraph relation mentions are prevalent. Our method outperforms prior state of the art, such as multi-scale learning and graph neural networks, by over 20 absolute F1 points. The gain is particularly pronounced among the most challenging relation instances whose arguments never co-occur in a paragraph.
This work is assigned to study the influence of different interaction potential forms on the pressure and internal energy of crystalline argon along its isothermal curves at high temperatures, expanded from melting point temperature up to room temp erature at different molar volume values expanded up to its value, corresponded experimental equilibrium curves with gaseous and liquid phases within the framework of quasi-classical approximation. The pair-wise inter-atomic forces in conjunction with three-body forces were taken into consideration. The results of this study regarding the pressure and internal energy of crystalline Argon were compared with available experimental data. The comparison clearly indicates that the calculated results coincide well with the experimental results.
