Mixture of sulphate-reducing bacteria (SRB) (Desulfotomaculum, Desulfovibro, Desulfotomonas) were studied for the biotransformation of phosphogypsum. This study shows that the greatest reduction of phosphogypsum (g/l) was possible among different cultures of carbon containing lactate (3.65), ethanol (2.9), casein (2.8); the melting rate was lower in the medium containing glucose (2.1), and three fold less in the medium with sodium acetate(1.35) almost. The biotransformation of phosphogypsum, was calculated on the basis of amount of hydrogen sulphide in cultures. In the studied cultures the greatest amount of hydrogen sulphide was produced from medium containing alcohol (1.29g/l). These isolated bacteria were found to be very effective in the reduction of (2.15 g/l) sulfate from phosphogypsum, with (98.03 %) reduction of Chemical Oxygen Demand in medium with glucose. The greatest amount of dissolved phosphogypsum was removed from medium containing Lactate, ethanol, casein respectively as sources of carbon.

This research work aimed to study the effect of different mixtures of growing media on pepper seedlings and their ability to withstand transplanting shock. The variety QarnAlgazal of pepper and five mixtures of growing media were used. The mixtures i ncluded bitmoss alone, bitmoss with equal volume of soil or sand, soil and cow manure in a ratio of 1:2,and cow manure with soil and sand in a ratio of 1:1:1. The experiments were implemented in aplastic green house without heating in the nursery farm of the faculty of Agriculture,Tishreen University. The completely randomizel design was adopted with three replications for each treatment and 15 plants for each replication. The results showed that themedia containing cow manurewere the more effective ingrowth of sapling as represteded by the increased hieght of sapling, number and area of leafs, fresh weight of both biomass and roots of sapling. The effect was very clear in the media containing cow manure and soil in the ratio of 1:2.
Inhibition activity of extracts (acetone, ethanol, water) parts of the (Myrtus communis L.) (root, stem, leaves, fruits) with concentrations (25,50,75,100%) was carried out against growth of Gr- and Gr+ bacteria which were isolated and identified from the pathogenic specimens of The University Children's Hospital bacterial laboratory in Damascus, using agar well diffusion method on Mueller – Hinton medium.
This paper investigates incorporating quality knowledge sources developed by experts for the medical domain as well as syntactic information for classification of tweets into four different health oriented categories. We claim that resources such as the MeSH hierarchy and currently available parse information are effective extensions of moderately sized training datasets for various fine-grained tweet classification tasks of self-reported health issues.
Raman spectra of Carbon Tetrachloride in Methanol solutions were measured. Spectral lines n1 (symmetric stretch vibrations), n3 (asymmetric stretch vibrations) of Carbon Tetrachloride were analyzed. The Raman spectra were fitted using Peak-Fit sof tware applying a sum of Gaussian and Lorentzian components. Results indicate that, there is a clear difference in the behavior of peak position and width of the two type of vibrations with varying the structural composition of the surrounding environment due to varying of the methanol concentration. On the other hand we found that a similarity in the dependence of the intensity of spectral lines on the concentration of methanol, with a high degree of non-linearity.
