The objective of the present study was to investigate, in a sub-sinus bone augmentation model in rabbits, effect of Three Calcium Phosphate beta at different stages of the osteogenesis process. Histological and statistical analyses were performed. Rabbits underwent sinus augmentation procedures using Three Calcium Phosphate beta (Cerasorb) and Collagen membrane ( Gen Derm ) .
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for closer of oroantral communication (OAC) during two months of clinical and radiographical follow-up. Eleven patients of both sexes(45.5% males ,54.5% females) included in this study who had (OAC) after dental extraction. The closer was done by using fibrin clot which was plugged into the alveolar socket of the extraction site that contains the communication, and then we sutured the fibrin membrane to the gingival borders above it. The results revealed that (PRF) can close the oroantral communication successfully in 81.8% of the sample with the following complications :pain 27.3% , edema 18.2% , dehiscence 18.2%. We conclude that platelet-rich fibrin can close oroantral communication that results from dental extraction when it has been used as a clot and membrane together with simple complicated subsequent clinical symptoms and without radiographical signs of inflammation of the maxillary sinus.
This study aimed to study changes in subantral bony height when sinus membrane was elevated 6 mm without bone grafts depending on Cone Beam CT imaging. The study sample contained 18 implants placed on 11 patients of both genders, each patient under went lateral-approach sinus-lift without bone grafts and implants were inserted simultaneously and protruded 6 mm under the elevated sinus membrane.
Presence of maxillary septa has been known to be a complicating factor for sinus elevation procedure. This study was aimed at detecting the prevalence, location and height of antral septa in syrianpopulation and to determine whether there is a relat ionship between the presence of septa and the absence of upper molars . A total of 174 sinuses in 87 patients (59 male and 28 female) aged 27 - 51 years were evaluated through a computed tomography scan analysis . No correlation was observed between the presence of septa and the absence of upper molars.
The floor of maxillary sinus starts to get down when the posterior upper teeth are extractedو which demand proceed sinus floor elevation when we plan to put dental implant in this place. The most common complication that happens in this procedure is membrane perforation which took place at range of 5,5- 56.16 %. So the method of sinus lifting with balloon has spread which is considered a safe and affective method and it is indicated especially when there is a small dental loss (1-2 teeth ). The principle of this method depends on pumping a liquid ( saline usually ) into the balloon which causes sinus floor elevating slowly and continuously. The research aims to evaluate bone thickness when sinus floor elevated with balloon when there are adjacent teeth and when there are not. The balloon technique of sinus floor lifting is applied on 30 sinus lifting cases in 27 patients who have more than 2 teeth dental loss in posterior superior area and need sinus lifting for dental implantation in this area. The patients were divided into two groups: the first one included 15 cases of sinus floor lifting with balloon and there are approximate teeth to the edentulous area. The second group included 15 cases of sinus floor lifting with balloon when there are no adjacent teeth. Patients had been followed up in 5 periods using dental cone beam radiography ( after the surgery, after 3 months, after 6 months, after 9 months, after 1 year ). The research showed in the two groups that At confidence level of R = 95 % there were no statistic variations of the range of success, when there are adjacent teeth to the edentulous area and when there are not. The research recommends using balloon technique of sinus floor lifting when there are adjacent teeth and when there are not .
Maxillary sinus augmentation is frequently necessary before placement of dental implants in the posterior maxilla. Besides autogenous bone graft, various bone substitutes have been used widely to augment the maxillary sinus, successful bone augmenta tion in the maxillary sinus without bone grafting and osseointegration of implants have been reported in several studies, recently, successful bone reformation in the sinus using autologous platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) concentrateas an alternative to bone grafting has been reported. The aim of this study: was to assess the useof PRF clots and membranes as the sole filling material during a lateral sinus lift with immediate implantation using radiologic exam (cone beam ct).
Sinus augmentation is a common approach for patients with severe alveolar ridge atrophy. Purpose of study: The objective was to compare the hydroxyapatite + PRP with hydroxyapatite + Blood Clot in maxillary sinus grafts.
Graft insertion can effectively enhance the regeneration of debilitated bone. Aim: The effects of an alloplastic bone-replacing material, b-tricalcium phosphate, and of autogenous bone graft were compared.
