Impediments to Use of Internet among Students of the Syrian Virtual University

This study aimed to identify the difficulties that hinder the use of Internet among students of the Syrian Virtual University. It also tried to know the impact of variables: gender, academic specialization, owning a computer and provision of Internet service. The study was conducted on a sample of 400 students, 200 male students and 200 female students of educational programs. Results showed that the main difficulties that hinder the use of Internet were the student's lack of knowledge of the importance of the Internet and aim of its use. Students also believed that the disadvantages of this service were more than its advantages. Results did not show gender-based significant differences; however, there were significant differences in these difficulties attributed to variables of computer ownership and availability of Internet service in favour of students who have the computers and Internet service.

دراسة حول مؤسسات تقييم الجامعات حول العالم توصيات خاصة بالجامعة الافتراضية السورية لتحسين ترتيبها عالميا

يعرض التقرير دراسة لبعض أهم المؤسسات المُتخصِّصة بتقييم الجامعات في العالم. يجري في البداية تقديم شرح عن هذه المؤسسات و هي المؤسسة البريطانية QS) Quacquarelli Symonds) ، و مؤسسة التصنيف الأكاديمي للجامعات العالمية ،ARWU) Academic Ranking of World Universities) و مؤسسة تصنيف الجامعات العالمي على شبكة الإنترنت ،Webometrics) World University Ranking on The Web تُقدِّم الدراسة معلومات عن تاريخ هذا المؤسسات و عدد الجامعات التي تقوم بتقييمها بالإضافة إلى تواريخ إصدار تقارير التقييم الخاصة بها.

The degree of virtual learning efficiency from the point of view of the members of Faculty Members The program of educational qualification diploma as a model

This research aimed to know the degree of virtual learning efficiency from the point of view of the faculty members (the program of education qualification diploma as a model). To reach this goal we prepared a questionnaire consisting of 37 items and divided into six parts, in addition to one open question. This questionnaire was applied on a sample of 8 members from the faculty members of the Faculty of Education, and the results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the average score degrees of the faculty members due to the number of experience years in favor of the faculty members who have 20 years of experience or more. Also, the results showed that there are significant differences between the average score degrees of the faculty members due to gender and numbers of experience years in favor of male faculty members who have less than 20 years of experience

أثر التعلم الإلكتروني على تحصيل طلبة دبلوم التأهيل التربوي في مقرر طرائق تدريس علم الأحياء "دراسة تجريبية على طلبة الجامعة الافتراضية السورية"

أهداف البحث: -تعرف أثر التعلم الإلكتروني على تحصيل طلبة دبلوم التأهيل التربوي لمقرر طرائق تدريس علم الأحياء مقارنة بالطريقة التقليدية. - تعرف فاعلية التعلم الإلكتروني في تحصيل طلبة دبلوم التأهيل التربوي لمقرر طرائق تدريس علم الأحياء حسب متغيري الطريقة و الجنس . و قد طبقت الدراسة على مجموعة تجريبية ( 26 ) طالباً و طالبة من طلبة دبلوم التأهيل التربوي في الجامعة الافتراضية السورية تعلموا من خلال التعلم الإلكتروني، و مجموعة ضابطة ( 26 ) طالباً و طالبة من طلبة دبلوم التأهيل التربوي في كلية التربية/جامعة دمشق، تعلموا من خلال الصفوف التقليدية و باستخدام الطرائق التقليدية.
