Ask ChatGPT about the research

Preserving the bone surrounding the implant is one of the most important factors in the success and durability of this implant, and the change in the quantity and quality of the surrounding bone not only affects the bone fusion of it, but also causes a change in the shape of the soft tissues covering and thus affects the aesthetic and functional aspect of the treatment.

Chin area is considered as a suitable donor site for autogenous bone grafts for alveolar ridge reconstruction before dental implantation, using large trephine bur(10mm) considers one of several ways which appeared for bone graft harvesting. The aim of this search is to study radiographic density changes following chin bone harvesting for dental implantology by using large trephine bur depending on digital panoramic radiographs.
Background& Objective: The reduction of alveolar crestal bone density is one of the earlier signs of periimplant disease and precedes the loss of height of the alveolar crest, because of that early detection of the small changes in density is impor tant and lead to the early onset of treatment and increases its success's percentage. This study aimed to evaluate the ability of the direct conventional digital method in detection of density changes around dental implants by the mean value of the gray level of the histogram of the selected area comparing with radiographic subtraction method.
In this study, 24 patients with posterior skeletal cross-bite were treated at Orthodontics Department-Faculty of Dentistry in Hama University. Hyrax expansion device was applied in all patients and the results were assessed after active expansion period. Cone beam computed tomography radiograph were taken at the assessment times. Results showed that the midpalatal suture width has increased significantly at all measured areas. The results revealed that significant tipping in the canines , premolars and molars was recorded in this study.
