The aim of this research is to study statistically erysipelas cases and its precipitating factors and also to determine the possibility of considering intramuscular injection of lincomycin as an effective treatment of uncomplicated erysipelas instead of intravenous penicillin G. 60 cases of erysipelas were studied and evaluated. There was no significant relation to age, sex and site of infection. The most affected sites were lower limbs, then face, and upper limbs. The most important risk factors were fungal intertrigo, vascular impairment and finally diabetes mellitus. The response to lincomycin treatment was excellent in 71.71%, intermediate in 23.91% of patients, while there was no response in only 4.34% of cases.
Introduction 7 Visceral Leishmaniasis( VL )is characterized by a spectrum of clinical features, with high cure rates in early diagnosis. Objective: the objective is to describe the clinical and epidemiological features and laboratory variables of children with visceral leishmaniasis ,And to define the importance of a positive direct investigation of the parasite in Bone marrow in the diagnosis of disease . Patients and Methods : It was a case series study of )52( cases of Visceral Leishmaniasis which were hospitalized between June-20 31and June-2014 in Al -Assad University Hospital ,Latakia Results 52 7 7 children were included in this study .Majority of the patients (92%) presented with fever ,common findings in physical examination were(100%) Pallor and (97%) splenomegaly The direct investigation of parasite in Bone marrow was positive in )%55( of cases .
Hysteroscopy is a very important procedure to diagnose many lesions inside the uterus like: endometrial polyps, Leiomyomas , uterine malformations , adhesions in uterine endometrium. Hysteroscopy's benefit is shown in the way it provides us with dire ct vision to the uterus . Our Research is conducted around complications of hysteroscopy and its percentage . This research included 82 patients visited the department of obstetrics and gynecology with these complaints : infertility, abnormal uterine bleeding, menstrual disorders, recurrent abortions , Missing strings of IUDs . the complication rate of the hysteroscopy were ( 4.88% ) the most ommon complication was: bleeding ( 2.44% ) , it was the same rate of uterine perforation and acute abdominal pain ( 1.22% ) We never found any differences of complications rates According to different indications of hysteroscopy or according to the technique . As we found the Zero rate of vaginal delivery to the patient plays a role as a dangerous factor in the high rate of complications . Then , the Complication rate in our study are little, this explain that hysteroscopy is a safe procedure, and that push us to recommend to us it routinely which reduce the hospitalization time and the cost
The purpose of this research is to establish a suitable mathematical model for the study of epidemiology, showing the role of the epidemic threshold which cannot be distinguished from the data for use by infectious disease experts and public health . There has been a growing interest in recent epidemiological models of epidemiology because of their health and economic effects. Epidemiology (from a mathematical point of view) is a section of general epidemiology that deals with mathematical modeling in relation to the need to predict and spread infectious diseases.
Through this research, case studies were reviewed which reviewed the dermatology department at Tishreen University Hospital in Lattakia and specialized centers for leishmaniasis and parasitic diseases in Lattakia and Tartous governorates from the beg inning of April 2018 until the end of December 2019. Where Syria is one of the areas endemic with cutaneous leishmaniasis, as we have noticed in recent years the number of skin infections has increased dramatically in all Syrian governorates, which has made leishmaniasis an important health problem that warrants study. In order to isolate and determine the type and strains of the parasite responsible for skin injuries in Syria, in order to develop a plan to combat this disease and limit its spread. Microscopy and transplantation methods are the gold standard for diagnosing cutaneous leishmaniasis, especially in poor areas where this disease is common. Through this study it was found that the age group most exposed to infection is between 16 - 40 years and that the highest incidence was among males. As for the distribution of skin lesions, the highest percentage was recorded on the face, upper and lower extremities.
