The refered data from geophysical surveys (seismic-logging) and samples analysis, that the paleozoic Tanf/Al Aba formation that belong to Paleozoic Era ,represent the most important rock generating hydrocarbon in Syria. And this covers big parts of Syria and with different thickness, between zero to 1100 m.

The researcher addressed the concept of unconventional oil, and factors affecting its production policy in a worldwide scale, then diagnosed the reality of oil production in Syria and the most important techniques used in the Syrian oil fields. Fi nally, the researcher determine the most important investment requirements for oil exploitation, and the potential returns of investing unconventional oil fields in Syria.
This research concludes an determination of some Culicinae mosquitoes distributed in south of Syria. The study show that there are 14 species, 3 of them were recorded for the first time in the study area, these 3 species were described, illustrate d , and distinguished from related species ,the seasonal reproduction and the habitat types of these were studied . (Culex perexiguus , Cx.sinaiticus , Cx.territans).
Pistacia palaestina is one of endemic species woodlands in mediterraneans areas and Syria , Wich is spreading principally in Quercus ssp and pinus ssp comminuties. Those communities of woodlands are suffered by multiple conditions as deforestation , so these woodlands are accelerated to developing toward surbland (maquis).
Gas condensate consists essentionaly of two kinds of compounds: hydrocarbon compounds and nonhydrocarbon compounds such as (CO2, H2S, N2, H2O……..). Nonhydrocarbon compounds form a very small rate in gas condensate ,but it effect on many properties of gas condensate. This research studies the effect of these componentson the pseudocritical pressure and pseudocritical temperature of gas condensate which are very important to study the phase behavioure of gas condensate and to determine the region of retrograde phenomenas which happen in gas condensate reservoirs. The study was done by presenting some methods to calculate these properties and the correcting of these values if there are nonhydrocarbon components in the condensate . the calculations were made by Stewartt methode and we put a computed program to calculate the correcting pseudocritical properties and noncorrecting ones, then we compear the tow values by drawing many diagrams between the mole fraction of the component and the calculated pseudocritical temperature and pressure.
Al-Sourani Dam was built to provide drinking water for inhabited villages in Sheikh Badr –Tartous, but the lake water is exposed to pollutants from several sources. In this paper, we discuss the mechanism of pollution and the appropriate measures, by determining some physical, chemical and biological characteristics of water in different sites. The results showed that turbidity and pH values arise in the autumn and winter especially in the water of tributaries compared with the water of the lake, this may be due to the activated runoff following rainfall in this period. Whereas the ammonium ion showed a significant increase in the lake's tail, that can be attributed to sewage residues from Broummana Al-Mashaeikh that threw directly into the lake. The results also showed remarkable seasonal changes concerning the total microorganisms in all studied sites, where the highest value was recorded in winter that reached 5.36 × 104 cells / 100 ml in Aine Alzaaror tributary. we conclude that the main source of pollution of lake's water, was the polluted water coming from Broummana Al-Mashaeikh, in addition to Aine Alzaaror tributary, that flows near a restaurant. The second source is Al-Wade Alakhdar tributary that feeds permanently the lake. So, the lake's water should be sterilized before using for drinking.
