تشير المعلومات المكتسبة من المسوحات الجيوفيزائية ( السيزمية
البئرية ) و تحاليل العينات بأن تشكيلة التنف/العبا، العائدة لحقب
الباليوزي ، تمثل اهم الصخور المولدة للمواد الهيدروكربونية في سوريا
و هي تغطي اجزاء كبيرة من سوريا و بسماكات مختلفة تتراوح بين
الصفر و حتى 1100 متر و بينت الدراسة ان معظم هذه السماكات تتركز
في المنطقة الجنوبية من سوريا ( نهوض الرطبة ) .
The refered data from geophysical surveys (seismic-logging)
and samples analysis,that the paleozoic Tanf/Al Aba
formation that belong to Paleozoic Era ,represent the most
important rock generating hydrocarbon in Syria. And this
covers big parts of Syria and with different thickness, between
zero to 1100 m.
