This study examines the length and structure of farm cropping in the East Jordan Valley. A statistical technique called crop combination analysis has been used to analyze and classify the crop pattern data of about ١٥٠٠ farm units in the middle ar ea of the East Jordan Valley (blocks no. ١٩-٢٤), in the third stage of the King Abdullah Canal Project.
The correct study of the reservoir leads us to develop drilling programs suitable for producing stratum. In addition, this makes us do successful operations to achieve the best recover factor ,within the convenient time and at the lowest appropri ate cost. This study will help us to avoid or solve many of the problems associated with the production processes and the most important problem of rehydration .In this research I did a geological and reservoir study of the Jido Field which is one of the fields of the Euphrates Company and it is located within the area of graben Euphrates in Deir Azure to the east of Syria, where recoverable reserves which are estimated in this field is about 83 million barrels. The objective of the study was to know the specifications and behavior of the reservoir and fluid inside and the possibility of a Hydrodynamic connection between blocks ,where this information is taken into account when calculating recoverable reserves and the assign of technological indicators for investment.
Despite the increasingly good quality of Machine Translation (MT) systems, MT outputs require corrections. Automatic Post-Editing (APE) models have been introduced to perform these corrections without human intervention. However, no system has been a ble to fully automate the Post-Editing (PE) process. Moreover, while numerous translation tools, such as Translation Memories (TMs), largely benefit from translators' input, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) remains limited when it comes to PE. This research-in-progress paper discusses APE models and suggests that they could be improved in more interactive scenarios, as previously done in MT with the creation of Interactive MT (IMT) systems. Based on the hypothesis that PE would benefit from HCI, two methodologies are proposed. Both suggest that traditional batch learning settings are not optimal for PE. Instead, online techniques are recommended to train and update PE models on the fly, via either real or simulated interactions with the translator.
Large-scale document retrieval systems often utilize two styles of neural network models which live at two different ends of the joint computation vs. accuracy spectrum. The first style is dual encoder (or two-tower) models, where the query and docum ent representations are computed completely independently and combined with a simple dot product operation. The second style is cross-attention models, where the query and document features are concatenated in the input layer and all computation is based on the joint query-document representation. Dual encoder models are typically used for retrieval and deep re-ranking, while cross-attention models are typically used for shallow re-ranking. In this paper, we present a lightweight architecture that explores this joint cost vs. accuracy trade-off based on multi-vector attention (MVA). We thoroughly evaluate our method on the MS-MARCO passage retrieval dataset and show how to efficiently trade off retrieval accuracy with joint computation and offline document storage cost. We show that a highly compressed document representation and inexpensive joint computation can be achieved through a combination of learned pooling tokens and aggressive downprojection. Our code and model checkpoints are open-source and available on GitHub.
Pre-trained multilingual language models have become an important building block in multilingual Natural Language Processing. In the present paper, we investigate a range of such models to find out how well they transfer discourse-level knowledge acr oss languages. This is done with a systematic evaluation on a broader set of discourse-level tasks than has been previously been assembled. We find that the XLM-RoBERTa family of models consistently show the best performance, by simultaneously being good monolingual models and degrading relatively little in a zero-shot setting. Our results also indicate that model distillation may hurt the ability of cross-lingual transfer of sentence representations, while language dissimilarity at most has a modest effect. We hope that our test suite, covering 5 tasks with a total of 22 languages in 10 distinct families, will serve as a useful evaluation platform for multilingual performance at and beyond the sentence level.
