It was found in this research that the seismic response of the structure increases with the decrease in the shear waves velocity in the soil, and the seismic response of the structure increases with soil layer thickness between the foundations of the structure and bedrock depth.

In 2002, Zeyzoun Dam failure, that is an embankment dam located at the northwest of Syria, made a big Awareness of the effects of the lack of Geotechnical investigations and concern given to seismic design, geological conditions and location of the d am. Zeyzoun dam location, in the vicinity of the Dead Sea fault system, emphasizes the importance of analyzing the effects of lithological stratum in dam foundations on dam seismic stability. This paper is concerned with the influence of a high permeable soil layer that has different static and dynamic properties, and exists at different depths in dam foundation. Geo-studio software, a Geotechnical program that applies the finite element method and can consider analysis like seepage, dynamic analysis and slope stability, used to build and analyse numerical models. The results of dynamic analysis showed rising of phreatic line level in dam body, amplification in dam dynamic response, increasing in pore-water and excess pore water pressure and decreasing in stability factors of safety, along with decreasing of the thin layer depth.
The article aims to study the effect of layer thickness and reflection coefficient variation on the image of synthetic seismogram, which is generated by using Ricker Wavelet with wide range of frequencies (20-130Hz) and Vibrator Sweeps with many freq uencies ranges (5-170Hz) as a known technique in reflection seismic method on land. The Researcher tried to determine the relationship between signals recording times and reflection coefficients variation from first side, and recording times with layer thickness variation from second side. The result which is observed that; the recorded times increased proportionally with increasing of the layer thickness (as we know), but it is delayed with exponential relation when the velocity and density are varied within the same layer. New manner is applied to represent the result by using the conversion of time seismic section to raster images by using GIS, this way gave us ability to control the colored scale which reflects the amplitude of recorded signals, and follows the reflectors or get important information about signals amplitude even though the layer thickness is decreased less than wavelet length ten times if we used Ricker signal or Vibration Sweeps.
The aime of this study was to determinethe effect of gender on the soft tissue of the chin at each type of rotation patterns of the lower jaw (Anterior - normal - Posterior) The sample consisted of 100 X-ray Lateral cephalometric radiographs of (69 female _ 31 male) adults, has been selected according to the following conditions: Age between 18-26 years old, , exclusion of all cases of Intenseocclusal abnormalities , Permanentocclusionand there is noformaldentalabnormalitieswithout takinginto accountthe thirdmolars, The absence ofa previousorthodontic treatment, the patient free fromsystemic diseasesorcongenital malformationsanddevelopmentaldisordersandsyndromesand there is no story of a previous surgery in the head and neck area The sample was divided into groups according tosex andmandibularrotation(Anterior - normal - Posterior). Then we studied variablesrepresentative the lower jaw rotation andanother ones representativethemeasurementsof the chinsoft tissue. The results showed a difference theaveragesof the soft tissue thickness and the indicators of mandible rotation between the sexes In favor of males, And theaveragesof thevariables showed Correlationbetween chinsofttissuethicknessin femaleswiththree typesoflower jawrotation Compared with males.
The phenomenon of impact between the adjacent buildings is one of the most important reasons for collapse of buildings during the earthquakes for that most of the codes resort to avoid impact by increasing the distance between adjacent buildings, b ut on the other hand high cost of land requires us to take advantage of the largest possible area in addition to the difficulty of making the separation architecturally and in particularly for high buildings the separation may offer up to 50 cm. We tried to have this research one of the studies that discuss the subject of seismic pounding where we discussed the methods for modeling the pounding and the most appropriate way to study the impact depending on the program dynamic analysis Ansys (Autodyn Ver. 11) then chose several cases for study seismic impact in three-dimensional models to cover most of the study variables that may affect this phenomenon, and we doer non- linear dynamic analysis for all cases, with applying acceleration function is defined by equation its constants are changing with processing the seismic records data. After finishing the analysis for all the models we have discussed changing the transitions and stresses and strains , and studied the factors affecting the impact , and discussed results of study and then we have summarizes the recommendations in that we see fit through this search.
