The main goal of data mining process is to extract information and discover knowledge from huge databases, where the clustering is one of the most important functionalities which can be done in this area. There are many of clustering algorithms and methods, but determining or estimating the number of clusters which should be extracted from a dataset is one of the most important issues most of these methods encounter it. This research focuses on the problem of estimating number of clusters in the case of agglomerative hierarchical clustering. We present an evaluation of three of the most common methods used in estimating number of clusters.

The low cost, ease of deployment has exposed WSNs an attractive choice for numerous applications, like environmental monitoring applications , security applications, real time tracking, and so on. But in reality, these networks are operated on batte ry with limitations in their computation capabilities, memory, bandwidth ,so they called networks with resource constrained nature, and this impels various challenges in its design and its performance. Limited battery capacity of sensor nodes makes energy efficiency a major and challenge problem in wireless sensor networks. Thus, the routing protocols for wireless sensor networks must be energy efficient in order to maximize the network lifetime. In this paper we simulated LEACH,SEP,DEEC,TEEN routing protocols and evaluated their performance by comparing with DT routing protocol in Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks on MATLAB.

Architectural design subject is the backbone of the architectural education curriculum. Moreover, the outcome of architectural design subject of first year is the base that will form the students’ architectural thinking and skills in the upper leve ls. In this research, the author is attempting to examine architectural design educators' views (36 teachers) of the First Year on the subjects of design education and the design process. Since students' views are very important in formulating an educational model of the design process, the author will also collect some students' views (114 students) from architecture faculty, where he is employed at the University of Damascus. The Study reveals several suggestions for improving the design methodology for architectural design education in general and in first year in specific.
Recently, the focus of dialogue state tracking has expanded from single domain to multiple domains. The task is characterized by the shared slots between domains. As the scenario gets more complex, the out-of-vocabulary problem also becomes severer. Current models are not satisfactory for solving the challenges of ontology integration between domains and out-of-vocabulary problems. To address the problem, we explore the hierarchical semantic of ontology and enhance the interrelation between slots with masked hierarchical attention. In state value decoding stage, we solve the out-of-vocabulary problem by combining generation method and extraction method together. We evaluate the performance of our model on two representative datasets, MultiWOZ in English and CrossWOZ in Chinese. The results show that our model yields a significant performance gain over current state-of-the-art state tracking model and it is more robust to out-of-vocabulary problem compared with other methods.
Open relation extraction (OpenRE) aims to extract novel relation types from open-domain corpora, which plays an important role in completing the relation schemes of knowledge bases (KBs). Most OpenRE methods cast different relation types in isolation without considering their hierarchical dependency. We argue that OpenRE is inherently in close connection with relation hierarchies. To establish the bidirectional connections between OpenRE and relation hierarchy, we propose the task of open hierarchical relation extraction and present a novel OHRE framework for the task. We propose a dynamic hierarchical triplet objective and hierarchical curriculum training paradigm, to effectively integrate hierarchy information into relation representations for better novel relation extraction. We also present a top-down hierarchy expansion algorithm to add the extracted relations into existing hierarchies with reasonable interpretability. Comprehensive experiments show that OHRE outperforms state-of-the-art models by a large margin on both relation clustering and hierarchy expansion.
