Upper abdominal surgery patients are considered more vulnerable to changes in pulmonary function and therefore to acute decrease in respiratory function. physical treatment techniques play an important role, especially deep breathing exercises and th e use of incentive spirometry device as well as walking, which have an important role in improving pulmonary function. here lies the nursing role in the training of patients to use those technologies and encouraging them toapplyearlypostoperatively. The aims of the study is toassess the effect of implementing nursing policy (deep breathing exercises , the use of incentive spirometer and walking) on respiratory function among upper abdominal surgery patients. The sample comprised 45 patients chosen randomly from thetwogenders who were prepared to upper abdominal surgery in Al-Assad University Hospital,Each patient implemented nursing policy and assessed pulmonary functionby using a spirometer device and measured the degree of arterial blood oxygen saturation by Oxygenation –pulse measurement. We can notice from the results of this study that the implement of nursing policy contributed to the preservation of respiratory function in patients with the two experimental groups , particularly in the experimental group 2, which have the lower decrease in the pulmonary functions values and the degree of arterial blood oxygen saturation .
This study focused on the large taxpayers, or senior taxpayers in the tax community, and how to tax them in accordance with the legislation, given the importance of this segment for its huge tax revenues for the Public Treasury compared to the rest of the taxpayers as well as the importance of the sectors in which this segment operates (banks - Insurance companies - telecom companies - oil companies). This paper starts by assessing the concept of large taxpayer, and the characteristics of this segment and international and the Syrian standards followed in identifying them. The study examines whether the Syrian tax legislation gave them a special taxation treatment different from the rest of taxpayer slices, and whether this treatment is actually implemented on the ground in the large taxpayer unit specified by Resolution No. 2428, dated / 23/8/2006. In order to achieve this goal, the researcher designed a questionnaire composed of 20 questions distributed to a sample comprised of a number of unit staff large taxpayers in Damascus, as well as a number of senior taxpayers (persons- person companies –capital companies). The study found that the Syrian tax legislation has singled out this group by rules distinct from the rest of the taxpayer segments. However, this special treatment has been applied in part and did not apply fully on the ground. The study also offers a set of recommendations that could help both the tax administration and scholars in Syria.
We present the task of Automated Punishment Extraction (APE) in sentencing decisions from criminal court cases in Hebrew. Addressing APE will enable the identification of sentencing patterns and constitute an important stepping stone for many follow up legal NLP applications in Hebrew, including the prediction of sentencing decisions. We curate a dataset of sexual assault sentencing decisions and a manually-annotated evaluation dataset, and implement rule-based and supervised models. We find that while supervised models can identify the sentence containing the punishment with good accuracy, rule-based approaches outperform them on the full APE task. We conclude by presenting a first analysis of sentencing patterns in our dataset and analyze common models' errors, indicating avenues for future work, such as distinguishing between probation and actual imprisonment punishment. We will make all our resources available upon request, including data, annotation, and first benchmark models.
