Epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) process represents an essential stage for tissue healing، it is also considered as a preface for tumour proliferation and invasion. The current study aimed to investigate the effects of rhBMP-2 protein on two essential biomarkers for this process : β-catenin and E-cadherin.

:Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) belong to the family of transforming growth factors-β (TGF-β) and play an essential role in the cellular proliferation and differentiation. Trails that used immunohistochemistry have shown that Ki67 is existed i n all normal cells which is in proliferating phase and absent in differentiated cells in resting phase. Aim : to investigate the effects of rhBMP-2 on the proliferative activity of rabbits bone tissue using Ki67 staining.
Recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2 ) is effectively to regenerate defects of the maxillary and mandible bones. Such defects are sometimes caused by resection of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) yet the biologic effects of rhBMP-2 on this malignancy and its histological relations and the ability of invasion and metastasis are not fully clear. Aim of the study : this study aimed to investigate the effects of rhBMP2 on E-cadherin expression , which plays a pivotal role in the cellular adhesion through the adherent junctions.
The demographictrendsthat dominatedin the Syriansocietyin the last century, As the declineinmortality rates, And the rapid rise of life expectancy at birth, And subsequent decline in the birth rate high Which in turn reduced the rate of population growth, which contributed to the change ratios lengthy age groups(children and young people and the elderly),This change contributed to increase the number of arrivals to the labor market. This search monitors the role of demographic transition in changes in the Age Structural Transition Syrian society And determine the phase experienced by the beginning of the third millennium, Relying on data on birth and death rates and the percentage of the population within the age groups lengthy in Syria so dependent to the results of the general census of the population. the most important results: -theAgeStructural Transition in Syria Started since the mid-twentieth century. -The growth rate rose class working-age population[64-15]year from (49%) of the total population (1960)to (52.2%) in the year (1994), to reach (57.2%) (2004). - Syria entered, the beginning of the new millennium, at the end of the second phaseAnd the beginning of the third stage of Shift the and characterized by the expansion of the number of people in middle age.
Oral epithelial dysplasia is a precancerous change develops in the oral mucosa, and leukoplakia is the most common precancerous lesions in oral mucosa. The epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is considered the mechanism through which the oral leukoplakia becomes malignant, and it's also responsible for the invasion and metastasis of cancers. This study investigates the expression of β-catenin in epithelialmesenchymal transition detected by immunohistochemical staining in the different grades of oral epithelial dysplasia. The sample consisted of 45 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded specimens of oral leukoplakia with different grades of oral epithelial dysplasia; specimenswere immunohistochemically stained with β-catenin antibody. The control group was consisted of biopsies from the normal oral epithelia. The EMT rates are associated with the severity of the oral epithelial dysplasia. That means, the epithelial-mesenchymal transition marker β-catenin could be used to evaluate the potentiality of malignant transformation in the precancerous lesions.
