This study aims at determining of cut-off score of the criterionreferenced test that measures the fifth primary grades ability to solve verbal problems that require carrying out division and other calculations in homs by using contrasting groups method and making sure of it efficiency of Lessing from the classification errors comparative with the sample mean with the volume /400/ male and female pupil. The study concluded that the classification errors yielded by the cut-off score identified by contrasting groups method /74/ were less than the sample mean /66/ of which to point out efficiency the used method at this study.

When the temperature of the external surface of a wall increases, it is important to predict what the thickness of the wall will be so that the internal surface of the wall does not exceed a limit value. We will study, by an analytical method, the ca
se in which the external surface temperature is linearly varying with time in order to determine the time for which the temperature does not exceed a predetermined limit value at a given depth from the surface. Two cases will be considered: the first one is for a wall made of a homogeneous material (e.g. concrete) and the second one is for a wall made up of concrete and phase-changing material whose melting temperature will be selected according to the desired temperature. The results obtained show that a significant delay to reach this temperature can be obtained between the two cases.
The research focuses on finding planning methods based on measuring and monitoring the
basic indicators of internal combustion engines (Diesel engines) in order to determine the
critical case of the engines, which determines the expected time for t
he engine or for some
of its basic parts to be sent for comprehensive maintenance.
The wear ratio of one of the basic components of the engine was also determined, we also
chose the diameter of the cylinder and the corrosion that happens to it in order to
determine the engine's lifetime and determine the moment when the engine should be sent
for comprehensive maintenance.
By observing a large number of engines put in repair in the industrial area in Lattakia,
which are 30 engines of different types of diesel and gasoline, and with different
capacities, it was noticed that about 15% of these engines were not exploited and invested
the entire work period designed for them. Also it was noticed that 20% of them have
stopped working because of the severe corrosion of parts, components and mechanics of
these engines, which led to their damage and their inability to do their work on a regular
basis. This has contributed to increased consumption of fuel and Lubricating materials,
which causes damage to the national economy.
The proposed planning method for determining the critical case of the engine when
comparing the schematic results with the practical results of the engines has proved its
efficiency and accuracy with an error rate of no more than 6% This allows it to be applied
and adopted as an effective way to determine the actual lifetime of the engine and compare
it with the life time of investing the engine mentioned in the manufacturer's catalogs when
operating the engine under normal conditions.
This search includes doing an analytical study to show the
outcomes of introduse the Thiessen Polygon method in calculate
the flow out of node in water distribution system ، and doing the
hydraulic calculation based on the new method’s outcomes and
comparing these outcomes with field measurements which
conducted in several control points .
