تم في هذا البحث دراسة تأثير التقسية باستخدام التيارات عالية التردد على الخصائص الميكانيكية لنوعي الفولاذ الكربوني (0.59%C , 0.35%C) الأكثر استخداماً في عمليات التصنيع المحلي، حيث تم أخذ عينات من نوعي الفولاذ بعد تقسيتها بالتيارات عالية التردد عند قيم مختلفة للاستطاعة و لسرعة تحرك ملف التحريض و إجراء اختبارات القساوة و الشد و الصدم عليها.
و بعد إجراء التجارب و الاختبارات أظهرت النتائج التحسن الواضح في الخصائص الميكانيكية مع تأثير محدود على متانة الصدم لنوعي الفولاذ الكربوني عند معالجته بالتيارات عالية التردد، كما أظهرت إمكانية التحكم بهذه الخصائص من خلال تغيير بارامترات طريقة التقسية.
The effects of induction hardening on mechanical properties of two kinds of carbon
steel (0.59%C , 0.35%C) that are widely used in local industry, were discussed by exposed
specimens that were induction hardened with different values of power and inductor's
speed to hardness, tensile, and impact tests.
The results of tests showed that the mechanical properties become greater with slight
decrease in impact energy of carbon steel when induction hardening is used, and showed
the possibility to do control on product's properties by make control on treatment
parameters .
