This research deals with time psychology in stories of the Holy Quran. It begins with defining time psychology and shows its kinds and their reasons, from a personal and internal time and the time of ego. Then the research moves on to reveal the ti me psychology in Arabic Literature and it begins with poetry. It displays some lines of verse that illustrate the sense of time, and then it clarifies the meaning of time psychology in the new narrative studies. After that, the research deals with time psychology in the story of the Holy Quran and the wrong estimate of time due to not realizing it because of the loss of loss of life, or unconsciousness. Then it exposes some human moments of different characters from the Holy Quran, like incidents of drowning, giving birth, moments of fear and worry, moments of departure and meeting and the moments of determining and triumph. The research demonstrates that the story in the Holy Quran can transmit human feelings, explain emotions and express psychological senses and the inner depths of the characters, using words with high level of transparency and subtlety. The words are meaningul and carefully chosen. So, all of that what has probably given the miraculous story of the Holy Quran it's superiority in both it's linguistics and semantics. Also, it exceeds high above the limited level of the human capacity.
Large pretrained models have seen enormous success in extractive summarization tasks. In this work, we investigate the influence of pretraining on a BERT-based extractive summarization system for scientific documents. We derive significant performanc e improvements using an intermediate pretraining step that leverages existing summarization datasets and report state-of-the-art results on a recently released scientific summarization dataset, SciTLDR. We systematically analyze the intermediate pretraining step by varying the size and domain of the pretraining corpus, changing the length of the input sequence in the target task and varying target tasks. We also investigate how intermediate pretraining interacts with contextualized word embeddings trained on different domains.
This study aimed at identifying students' attitudes toward Quranic studies at Tabuk Teachers' College. For this purpose to be achieved, a questionnaire of 32 items was prepared covering three main areas namely; 1- students' interest in Quranic studies, 2- Quranic studies status, 3- society respect to Quranic studies.
Human knowledge is collectively encoded in the roughly 6500 languages spoken around the world, but it is not distributed equally across languages. Hence, for information-seeking question answering (QA) systems to adequately serve speakers of all lang uages, they need to operate cross-lingually. In this work we investigate the capabilities of multilingually pretrained language models on cross-lingual QA. We find that explicitly aligning the representations across languages with a post-hoc finetuning step generally leads to improved performance. We additionally investigate the effect of data size as well as the language choice in this fine-tuning step, also releasing a dataset for evaluating cross-lingual QA systems.
