Dental caries increasingly affects the children nowadays. Statistics concerning caries prevalence aim to guide and improve the prevention of dental caries. Objective: The purpose of this study is to assess the prevalence of dental caries in the posterior primary teeth depending on the presence of decay, missing due to caries or filling.
For children, it is very important to reduce the treatment time, thus the aim of this study is to determine the shortest yet the most effective application time for resin infiltrant Icon to achieve complete penetration into proximal caries lesions, and to evaluate its ability to infiltrate.
Pulpectomy was performed on 100 primary teeth and the radiograph was exposed immediately post treatment to observe weather the root canal filling was: flush-undefiled or overfilled. Teeth were examined periodically, clinically and radio graphically to assess success of the treatment.
The purposes of the present study were to determine the effectiveness of infiltration anesthesia in the mandibular primary molars compared with inferior alveolar nerve block, and how tooth location, and the type of treatment performed, and the vo lume of anesthetic solution relate to the quality of anesthesia. The study population consisted of ١١٦ cooperative children, ٣-٦ years old, requiring the same type of treatment on contralateral mandibular molars.
When the caries become near the pulp in primary molars, the treatment will be the pulpotomy to remove the involved coronal portion of the pulp, preserving the vitality and function of the remaining radicular portion. Formocresol, Glutar-aldehyde, F erric sulphate, AMT, Laser application and Electro surgery may used in primary teeth pulpotomy.
