ERCP is an im portant means of diagnosis and management of diseases of the biliary and pancreatic ducts, and this procedure can be associated with certain complications .This study was conducted to assess the frequency of complications following ERCP, the sample of the study consisted of 292 patients have adequate indication for ERCP. As expected, Post ERCP pancreatitis scooped the highest percentage of complications, with 3.4% (by 38.4% of all complications), While post ERCP bleeding occurred in 4 patients (1.4%). Post ERCP perforation occured in 3 patients (1.03%), Either post ERCP cholangitis had occurred in 4 patients (1.4%). Cardiac and pulmonary complications were rare (0.68 percent, 0.34%), respectively. Our study has recorded rare complication was an impaction of basket within Vatter's ampulla, that occurred in 1 patient(0.34%).

Both dentists and patient are interested to know the complications following periodontal therapy. The purpose of this study was to document this incidence following periodontal therapy carried out in a postgraduate periodontal clinic at Damascus u niversity, and to identify factors that influence postprocedural pain. 214 patients between 18 to 57 years of age, most of them women ( 57,94% ) enrolled in this study. Pain was reported by 51,86% of the patients, which means they needed analgesics after the first post operative day. Infections were present in only 4 patients, two of them were under antibiotics. Females experienced significantly more pain than males after periodontal treatment. Pain decreased significantly in patients over 45. Also smoking and prophylactic antibiotic reduced the incidence of postprocrdural pain. In this study , ther e were no correlation between pain and the following: periodontal dressing, systemic diseases, oral hygiene, types of periodontal surgery and extent of the surgery. Surgical periodontal treatment is more painful than non-surgical treatment, but even non-surgical therapy is painful sometimes. 29,72% of the non-surgical therapy patients experienced postprocedural pain. On the basis of this study ,it appears that minimal complications were associated with periodontal therapy.
The Research has been made on (73) patients for whom a surgical operation was made on the thyroid in Al-Assad University Hospital in Lattakia in 2000-2007. The study was divided into: retrospective (32patients), prospective (41patients) and (11) pa tients of were subjected to second operation due to existence of a malignant cancer with a percentage of (16,66%) . The Total Thyroidectomy on both side was the most spread intervention with a percentage of (57,14%) and next to it was the thyroid lobectomy with a percentage of (28,79%). The percentage of Total Early complication is (11,9%) and the Tetania was the most repeated complication with a percentage of (3,57%) and next to it was the Recurrent laryngeal nerve ,the Superior laryngeal nerve and the bleeding with a percentage of (2,38%)for each . The higher percentage of complication has occurred in the starting operation of the Total Thyroidectomy and next to it the Thyroid lobectomy . The surgery of the Relapsed Thyroid is subject to more dangerous complications from the starting intervention .
The vascular complications of the disc surgery are rare , but maybe very dangerous. the early diagnosis and emergency surgery of these complications maybe the better job , and this depend sure the technical experience of vascular specialist . In this study ,we identified the causes , the risk factors of these complications , the important role of the neurosurgical specialist and the importance of anatomy which is deferant in every patient . We also carried out a comparison among many international studies involving the vascular complications of disc surgery . In this study , we assured that the emergency vascular surgery is very important to cure these patients .
Understanding and executing natural language instructions in a grounded domain is one of the hallmarks of artificial intelligence. In this paper, we focus on instruction understanding in the blocks world domain and investigate the language understand ing abilities of two top-performing systems for the task. We aim to understand if the test performance of these models indicates an understanding of the spatial domain and of the natural language instructions relative to it, or whether they merely over-fit spurious signals in the dataset. We formulate a set of expectations one might have from an instruction following model and concretely characterize the different dimensions of robustness such a model should possess. Despite decent test performance, we find that state-of-the-art models fall short of these expectations and are extremely brittle. We then propose a learning strategy that involves data augmentation and show through extensive experiments that the proposed learning strategy yields models that are competitive on the original test set while satisfying our expectations much better.
Aim: To evaluate the hearing changes following stapedotomy surgery, and to investigate the potential effects of the age and sex of the patients on air-bone gap closure. Material and Methods: 80 patients diagnosed with otosclerosis and undergone stapedotomy surgery, were involved in this study. The hearing changes were evaluated by comparing the means of air and bone conductive measurements at 250-500-1000-2000 and 4000 Hz before and after surgery. In addition, the air-bone gap closure was determined. Data was analysed statistically using t-student and Anova tests (p=0.05). Results: There was a statistically significant difference in air conductive measurements before and after surgery (p<0.001), whilst the bone conductive values showed no differences. The mean of air-bone closure in the current study was 28.6dB.
