The mid-transverse section is considered one of the significant sections in the shiphull, because it exists in the middle of its calculated length, where the bindings moments reach the maximum, in consequence the hull strength can be determined through the strength of this section. Its design process includes the determination of the dimensions of plats and different framing beams and considered one of the important stages in the hull design process. In this work, it has been studied Compton Effect using the 662 keV gamma rays from a radioactive source of cesium-137 (137Cs) intensity (3.33×105 Bq) on Aluminum rod (who plays scatter). It has been measured the differential cross section, and the ex perimental values of differential cross section compared with theoretical values given by Klein - Nishina equation.

To solve these problems we developed a program on C# language, that simulate the elements of propulsion system on ship and coordinates between the engine and the propeller through varying some parameters to ensure sailing of ship at suitable speed, at optimal fuel consumption for the engine, and to keep the propulsion elements at good state.
In this work, it has been recording the alpha particles emitted from an Amerecium-241 source, and scattered by a gold and Aluminum thin foils as a function of the scattering angle q (0o-30o), using a semiconductor detector and Rutherford scattering c hamber. It always has been measuring the differential cross section resulting from this scattering, and experimentally determining the atomic number of Gold and Aluminum. Comparison between experimental and theoretical results shows a good agreement.
