This study aimed to identify the most important factors affecting dates production, in Wadi al Shati, Libya by estimating indicators of economic efficiency of the resources used to measure the impact of each of the components used in date production. The field study indicated that the most important productive inputs affecting significantly crop production (dates) were number of trees, the quantity of fertilizer, water quantity and the number of employment and expertise at different moral levlss. This has proven to be a significant variables at different moral levels. The results also showed that the elasticities of Wadi al Shati villages and the beach were positive and operating in the first phase of increased production to reach about 0.847 and reflect the return of diminishing capacity.

The design of milking spaces, which are called Mahlab, is considered as the main factor for many experts in agricultural engineering and animal production. The main aim is to determine the optimum parlour milking with highest production and little stress, whereas the parlour milking is considered as the most important design factor in the barn because it is Influences getting the milk in cattle productivity farms. According to the importance of milk production, which effects on the local production and economy, this paper treats with the most effective factors in the design of parlour milking in cattle farms, in order to be suitable for dairy cattle production by considering its numbers, its movement and its suitable space. So, this reflects its impacts on the level of production, in addition it shows the most important type of parlour milking in the world that reflects the advantages and disadvantages that determine the type and size of required parlour milking and its location and relationship with the cattle barn.
This study was carried out at the poultry experimental station, Technical Institute of Agriculture, Damascus University, Kharbo. 270 of Japanese Quail birds, one day of age were divided equally into 3 similar groups (90each). Every group comprised of 3 replicates of 30 each, each replicates contained 10 cages. Birds were housed and managed under similar conditions throughout the experimental period which lasted from the 8 to 22 weeks of age. The birds were fed on rations recommended by NRC and contained 1, 0.65 or 2 of DLmethionine g/kg of ration in the first (the control), second and third groups respectively. Results showed that using ration contained 2g DL-methionine/ 1kg of ration gave a significant increase in egg weight, production and economical efficiency value as compared to the other used rations.
The aim of this research is to determine the best date and culture medium for the production of big rolls consisting of seed mixture (Lolium perenne, Festuca Arundinacea, Festuca rubra, Poa partensis) with the lowest costs. Seven different mediums were experimented in two different culture dates (15 September and 1 April). The results showed that the mediums consisting of turf or spent mushrooms compost gave the best germination rate (78-84%) in the two culture dates. They also gave ready big rolls in a period of time less than in the other mediums (78-102 days). The mediums also gave the best quality of big rolls in terms of light weight (41.96- 53.89 kg/m2), coverage rate (93-98%), and color. The medium that consisted of spent mushroom compost achieved an economic increase higher than that in the other mediums, where the coefficient of profitability in the former was (194.4%).
This study was conducted in Tartus cattle station, on 14 Holishtain-Frisian calves at the weaning age (12 weeks) in order to evaluate the effect of Methionine addition on the productive parameters. The calves were divided in three groups, the first one was considered as a control, the second was fed on milk with 0.2% methionine, whereas the third one on milk with 0.4% methionine. The results showed that the Methionine addition to the diet of calves during the weaning period, increased the daily growth rate after weaning, so this increase was 14%. Our results also showed that the addition of Methionine improved the feed conversion ratio after weaning.
