Analysis study was done to explain the effect of the longitudinal section on the values of pressure of the water hammer resulting from the trip of pumps, which results a low pressure wave often lead to get cavitation, has been shown from the analytical study of several profiles and compare the results, that the shape of the profile and the level of the pressure line after the stopping of pumps determines the type of cavitation formed , the region in which it occurs and the pressure values resulting from it, when the profile doesn’t contain bends or the bends are below the level of line pressure a distributed cavitation is occurred, In the case of the presence of high points , the effect of the bend is linked to several factors: 1 - the greater the height of the bend above line pressure increases the possibility for column separation and increases the pressure forces. 2 –the pressure forces increase whenever the bend closer to the pumps.

Because of the importance of water hummer and it’s big impact in pumping pipes, an analytical study of water hummer resulting from the pumping station abruptly stopped working (due to a power outage on water pipe line that conveys water from groun d open tank to three overhead open tanks was conducted, and without means of protection from water hummer . maximum and minimum pressure values and the location of each of them in the network have been identified. It was found that the pump trip caused a transient state with negative pressure along the pipe system. The values of maximum pressure were less than the pressure tube run.
An analytical study was done to explain the relationship between the performance of gas accumulator, surge tank and vacuum breaker valve and the profile of the pipe. The study proved that effectiveness of protection means vary according to the longitudinal path of pipe.
This search include making laboratory tests on sandy soil samples ,wich were taken from Damascus Suburb (Alkastal-Maarona- Alsallema) and from Hama(Alsalameya), physical and clasificated tests were made besides oedometer tests, two limited cases w ere studied :maximum loose and maximum dense for each soil. Values of deformation modulus (E) were determined from oedometric compression curves at various compression levels, and then the experimental equations between deformation modulus and primary void ratio, and between modulus of lateral soil pressure and deformation modulus were concluded at maximum loose and maximum dense.
The aim of this paper is to present a recent experimental investigation of the wall pressure distribution observed during the emptying of a modeling silo, with and without, inserts, for three different heights hi of the insert base above the hopper outlet. The experiments were carried out with corn, at the concrete lab. in faculty of civil engineering in Damascus university in Syria. The results show that the upper-cone with downer-cone trunk insert had a strong influence on the pressures in the silo.
This work is assigned to study the influence of different interaction potential forms on the pressure and internal energy of crystalline argon along its isothermal curves at high temperatures, expanded from melting point temperature up to room temp erature at different molar volume values expanded up to its value, corresponded experimental equilibrium curves with gaseous and liquid phases within the framework of quasi-classical approximation. The pair-wise inter-atomic forces in conjunction with three-body forces were taken into consideration. The results of this study regarding the pressure and internal energy of crystalline Argon were compared with available experimental data. The comparison clearly indicates that the calculated results coincide well with the experimental results.
