This study tries to evaluate the apical sealing with various temperatures and plugger depths using Continuous Wave of Condensation (CWC). 105 recently extracted human permanent single canal teeth were collected. The canals were cleaned and shaped using traditional crown-down. Teeth were randomly divided into 6 groups (15 teeth for every group). They were obturated using CWC, and the groups were divided according to temperature (100º,150º or 200º ) and plugger depths from the Working Length (WL) (3mm or 5mm). The seventh group was a control group and consisted of 15 teeth and obturated using Cold Lateral Condensation(CLC). The outer surface of obturated roots was coated with two layers of nail varnish except for 1.5 mm around the apical foramen. After that roots were immersed in methylene blue 2% for 24 hours. Then they were sectioned longitudinally to examine them by stereomicroscope 20X for measurement of dye penetration. Statistical analysis of the results showed that the apical sealing was improved by increasing the temperature or plugger depth from WL with CWC, but statistically there were no significant differences, except for the group with temperature 100º and plugger depth 5 mm from WL, which was the highest one in dye penetration. Statistically there were also no significant differences by comparing CLC group with CWC groups, except the group with temperature 200º and plugger depth 3 mm from WL

Aim: to compare the apical sealing ability of three root canal sealers in human extracted teeth using dye penetration. Materials and Methods: thirty extracted human maxillary teeth were instrumented 1mm short of the anatomical apex and randomly as signed to three groups (n=10), according to the root canal sealer used for obturation. The teeth were divided into three experimental groups and obturated by cold lateral compaction of gutta-percha and one of the following sealers: group I, Zinc oxide and Eugenol sealer; group II, Adseal; group III, Apexit plus.The teeth were covered with nail varnish to within 2-3mm of the apical foramen and immersed in 2% methylene blue for 24 hours.After this period, the teeth were washed and cut longitudinally for apical leakage measurement inside the canal. Results: Statistical evaluation of the results showed no significant difference in the leakage between Adseal and Apexit plus (P =0.99). Leakage with ZOE was significantly lesser than Adseal (P=0.004) andApexit Plus (P=0.003). Conclusions:under the condition of this study, it can be concluded that ZOE presents lower apical leakage than Adseal and Apexit plus, and there was no significant difference in leakage between Adseal and Apexit plus.
A good apical sealing is considered the key of the successful endodontic treatments. The aim of this study was to compare the apical seal of GuttaFlow and AH Plus using single cone and lateral condensation technique.
This work is assigned to study the influence of different interaction potential forms on the pressure and internal energy of crystalline argon along its isothermal curves at high temperatures, expanded from melting point temperature up to room temp erature at different molar volume values expanded up to its value, corresponded experimental equilibrium curves with gaseous and liquid phases within the framework of quasi-classical approximation. The pair-wise inter-atomic forces in conjunction with three-body forces were taken into consideration. The results of this study regarding the pressure and internal energy of crystalline Argon were compared with available experimental data. The comparison clearly indicates that the calculated results coincide well with the experimental results.
Aim: The aim of this study was to detect the effect of dressing period of calcium hydroxide medicament on the apical marginal leakage after obturation of root canal system. Materials and Methods: 80 freshly extracted single rooted human teeth were selected ,all the root canals were hand-instrumented. They were randomly divided into four groups of 20 teeth each. Group A has no intracanal medicament , groups (B,C,D) were dressed with Ca(OH)2 paste for a different periods of time (7,14,30) days respectively, groups (B,C,D) were divided into subgroups of 10 teeth according to removing of dressing . The removal of ca(OH)2was done by two ways, 1- By irrigating with distilled water and drying with paper points . 2- Size 40 k-file was used in slightly filing motion up to the working length then irrigated with distilled water and drying with paper points. After that all groups were obturated with lateral compaction technique using gutta-percha points and zinc oxide-eugenol cement. Then the access was sealed with GIC cement. The teeth were immersed into 2% mythylene blue solution ,The specimens were placed in an incubator at 37 C ,with moisture at 100%, for 7 days .After that the roots were sectioned longitudinally and examined with stereomicroscope and liner leakage was measured.
This study included a test of 90 chickens; 90 samples as (a chest) and 90 samples as (a thigh). These samples were divided into four categories: the first one (45 chests) was stored with packages in a tin sheet, the second (45 chests) unpacked, the t hird (45 thighs) was stored with packages in a tin plate, the fourth (45 thighs) unpacked. The samples of each category were divided into three groups. Each group consists of 15 samples. These groups were stored at (25+°, 4+°, 20-°) .Then, the pH and the total count of bacteria were measured during storage in order to observe the time in which the samples will start to spoil in accordance with the Syrian Standards and Specifications Corporation 2007. We noticed the following physical changes: color, odor, flavor and texture. The results showed that the spoilage of the thigh samples happened before the chest ones and the packaged samples before the unpackaged ones. The samples spoiled after 24h of storage at 25+° and after 7 days of storage at 4+°, whereas, there was no spoilage noticed for the samples at 20-° but the appearance changed after 6 months of storage. Packing had a good effect on preservation. The conclusions and the suggestions were written in order to guide the consumer in the field of poultry meat storage.
