Previous work has shown that automated essay scoring systems, in particular machine learning-based systems, are not capable of assessing the quality of essays, but are relying on essay length, a factor irrelevant to writing proficiency. In this work, we first show that state-of-the-art systems, recent neural essay scoring systems, might be also influenced by the correlation between essay length and scores in a standard dataset. In our evaluation, a very simple neural model shows the state-of-the-art performance on the standard dataset. To consider essay content without taking essay length into account, we introduce a simple neural model assessing the similarity of content between an input essay and essays assigned different scores. This neural model achieves performance comparable to the state of the art on a standard dataset as well as on a second dataset. Our findings suggest that neural essay scoring systems should consider the characteristics of datasets to focus on text quality.

The research aims at identifying the relationship between Relationship of Some Physical Measurements (Weight, Total Height and Length of the Lower Limb) with Junior Footballers Accurate Scoring. The descriptive methodology has been used in the styl e of correlation relationship. The research sample included the 15 footballers from the youngsters in Jableh Sports Club. An assumption has been established of a relationship of statistical significance between Relationship of Some Physical Measurements (Weight, Total Height and Length of the Lower Limb) with Junior Footballers Accurate Scoring. The suitable statistical tools, used in this research, shows the absent of meaningful relationship between Some Physical Measurements (Weight, Total Height and Length of the Lower Limb) with Junior Footballers Accurate Scoring. The researcher recommends the following: 1- conduct similar studies on different age groups and advanced skills in football 2- conduct similar studies on other football game skills.
Kinetic studies were carried out on the reaction between dimeric fatty acid C36 with 1.3 Diamino propane and 1.4 Diamino butane and 1.6 Diamino hexane and 1.8 Diamino octane in molten phase. The reaction was performed at 145ºC. The polyamidation r eaction was found to be on the overall a second order up to 83% conversion for reaction dimeric fatty acid C36 with 1.3 Diamino propane and 86% conversion for reaction dimeric fatty acid C36 with 1.4 Diamino butane and 87% conversion for reaction dimeric fatty acid C36 with 1.6 Diamino hexane and 1.8 Diamino octane then the reaction order changes to the third order above last conversion. The degree of polymerization, number average molecular weight and weight average molecular weight have been calculated during different times. Their relationships with the times are linear until last conversion. The melting point and thermodynamic constants for melting are determined by use of differential scanning calorimetry DSC. The melting point and thermodynamic constants increase by increasing the length of reacted amine series.
Dialogue topic segmentation is critical in several dialogue modeling problems. However, popular unsupervised approaches only exploit surface features in assessing topical coherence among utterances. In this work, we address this limitation by leverag ing supervisory signals from the utterance-pair coherence scoring task. First, we present a simple yet effective strategy to generate a training corpus for utterance-pair coherence scoring. Then, we train a BERT-based neural utterance-pair coherence model with the obtained training corpus. Finally, such model is used to measure the topical relevance between utterances, acting as the basis of the segmentation inference. Experiments on three public datasets in English and Chinese demonstrate that our proposal outperforms the state-of-the-art baselines.
Speech denoising is a field of engineering that studies techniques used to recover the original signal from the noisy signal corrupted with different types of noise, such as broadband noise and narrowband noise, and other types present in environme nt, but the spectral subtraction technique consider the most prominent in this area . In this search we will discuss the parameters impact of the modified spectral subtraction algorithm and the time window length in the enhancement of speech that corrupted with broadband noise. We done the study and determine the ideal parameters values and the ideal window length with different values for the signal -to-noise ratio SNR for noisy speech and we discuss 18 case for each value. We done the simulation using MATLAB software and the results were compared based on improving the value of SNR for each case .
The research was conducted to study an efficacy of the fungus Trichoderma harzianumin controlling the gray mold disease on tomato that causing by the fungus Botrytis cinerea. A local isolate of the fungus T. harzianum was studied under laboratory conditions using two methods: antagonism and the spore suspension.
