The aim of the study was to determine the effect of dietary
supplementation of some organic acids (Propionic acid, butyric
acid,) on the performance and some blood biochemical profile of
quails.
Seventy five (75) one day old unsexed Japanese quai
l chicks were
used in this study and distributed randomly into three treatments per
each treatment (25 chicks) commercial Japanese quail chicks were
used for 42 days..
This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of butyric acid alone or with
Vitamins in the feed on liver enzymes activity and some minerals in serum.
One hundred (100) 1-day old unsexed commercial Japanese quail chicks were
studied for 42 days
. The Japanese quail chicks were randomly divided into 4
groups as 25 chicks in each. The chicks were fed with starter mash which
contained crude protein24% and metabolizable energy 2850 Kcal / kg up to 42
day of age.
