The aim of this study was to identify the effect of the use of water plyometric exercises on improving the level of achievement in the 100 meter race in the players of the University of Hama. Therefore, These exercises were developed in a training program that was nominated by several specialized experts. The sample consisted of (12) players from the University of Hama. The experimental method was used in the two groups (experimental - control) Experimental for the experimental program And the control group underwent their normal exercises. A 100 meter test was applied to the control and experimental groups before and after the program was implemented. The results were compared. The study concluded that the plyometric water exercises had a positive effect on improving the achievement level in the 100 meters race in the group which applied the training program.
Faggarat: are an old system to invest groundwater near the surface of the land. This system spread near dry regions. The research aims to define the Faggarat and their local distribution, the possibility to revive them in Syria revealing their ben efits economically, socially, historically, archeologically and environmentally because they promote aquatic and agricultural Perpetual Development in arid regions.
Water samples were collected three times a week to make chemical, physical and microbiological tests, in order to determine the role of Macrophytes in improving and enhancing domestic wastewater purification processes, by the means of providing th e necessary oxygen for microorganisms; absorbing some metal elements and chemical ions in addition to adsorbing a portion of microorganisms on its surfaces. This will lead to the completion of water purification and mineralization processes. Necessary tests for evaluating the purification processes had been carried on raw and treated water for a period of 17 days each experiment, using special tanks previously made for this purpose. The results obtained confirmed the effective role of microorganisms in domestic wastewater treatment and water purification using macrophytes which were capable of providing the suitable conditions to motivate heterotrophic microorganisms, which are characterized by the ability to decompose the organic matter and its active oxidation, which affects the concentrations of nitrates, ammonium, suspended solids and electrical conductivity... Etc. Tests results clearly confirm the positive effect of Macrophytes as Butomus umbellatus on enhancing purification processes and activating the organic matter mineralization by microorganisms.
Samples of surface sediment of St. Johns River Basin were collected, extracted and their aliphatic hydrocarbons (AH) were determinated quantitatively and qualitatively by GC-FID and GC-MS Techniques, were used to characterize the (AH) hydrocarbons homologous and biomarker compounds. The sediments contained high organic matter content, while the hydrocarbons AH represented ٠,٣٥-٢,٧٢٪ of the total organic matter (TOM) found in sediments.
This study was carried out for three years (٣-٥ months every year) during maximum of aquatic hyphomycetes distribution ( in - Autumn and Winter), which related with the period of leaves-fall. We studied ٩٠ water samples taken from Banias River. We identified ٧٠ species of aquatic hyphomycetes by investigtion ٨٢٨ spore - isolates taken from water samples. The factors responsible for the occurrence of different patterns of their distribution have been determined. Therefore, this work is done for the first time in Syria and given an important side of ecological and botanical diversity in the waters of our country.
