The present study aimed to investigate the capacity of biotin in preventing oxidative stress induced by hydrogen peroxide H2O2 at a concentration of 1% given with consumed drinking water to local male rabbits. 40 male rabbits aged 7-8 months, were used in this study and were divided randomly into four groups, with 10 rabbits within group, as follow: the first group was given standard forage and normal water and considered as control, the second group was given standard forage and 1% H2O2 in water, the third group was given standard forage and 200 mg biotin /kg body weight in water, the fourth group was given standard forage, 1% H2O2 and 200 mg biotin /kg body weight in water. All groups were treated daily for 8 weeks.
This Study was designed to evaluate the effects of Aloe vacillans leaves juice on carbon tetrachloride CCl4- induced hepatotoxicity in rats. Hepatotoxicity was induced in rats by intraperitoneal (i.p) injection of CCl4 (1ml/kg) of body weight every 72h during ethanolic extract of Aloe vacillans leaves were administrated at dose 250 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg of body weight pass orally (p.o) daily for 14 days. Twenty-four hours post-CCl4 treatment, blood samples were withdrawn through retro orbital sinus. The hepatotoxicity and its prevention was assessed by serum parameters like alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total protein (T.P) and albumin (ALB).
This study was conducted at the biotechnology laboratory of AnimalWealth Research Administration, General Commission for Agricultural Research in order to compare the effect of different media on In vitro maturation (oocytes matured at 39 C° under 5% CO2 for 24 h), fertilization، and culture (7 days postfertilization) in humidified atmosphere 95% on bovine embryo production.
