Evaluate the effectiveness of the use of Inferior Turbinate Flap in the closure of the anterior oro-nasal fistula

Residual palatal fistulas are common after repair of palatal cleft and tumar incision in palate and nasal cavity. Repair of residual oronasal fistula is not always successful. Twolayer closure techniques that close these fistulas with soft tissue are a common practice. Turnover flaps are the most used flaps and often the sole method for nasal side closure of fistula. Anteriorly based inferior turbinate flap can be used to provide soft tissue for nasal-side closure when turnover flaps will not provide sufficient tissue for this purpose.

Develop a Parallel Processing System to Recognize the Deaf and Mute Gestures and Apply it based on FPGA

In this paper, we processed an array which represents the human hand image to get the characteristics of this image. So, we used FPGA technique, and the processing operation is partitioned into three threads which is carried out in parallel. Each thread is carried out using the pipeline technique by partitioning thread into four segments. After that, we evaluated the speedup that we get in result of using the pipeline technique and the parallel threads. So, we have the possibility to design an embedded system integrated into chip (SoC), and using the mobile phones as integral devices support the software and hardware resources.

DETECTION OF miRNA USING SURFACE PLASMON RESONANCE (SPR)

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are single-stranded, non-coding RNA molecules, which can regulate the translation of target proteins and thereby control biological functions. They qualify as diagnostic markers and can help to detect diseases earlier. In case of a disease the concentrations of specific miRNAs which are characteristic for it do vary in quantity. For the detection of miRNA we are using a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor, which allows to measure interactions of molecules at an interface in real-time. For this, thiolated LNA capture probes are immobilized on the gold chip.

تشكل الحاصات في الفروة من أصول مختلفة (رضـية – نـدبات الحـروق – جراحية ....) تطبيقات رئيسية للعلاج بالتوسيع الجلدي. منذ عام 1997 و عبر ثماني سنوات أُسستْ تجربة بالموسعات الجلدية ( في مشفى المواساة الجامعي ) بأماكن مختلفة من الجسم لأكثر من 80 مريضاً، كان منهم 23 مريـضاً (31) % في مستوى الفروة. وصِفَتْ و شُرِحت في هذه التجربة تم التقنية الجراحية و مختلف أنـواع الـشرائح الجلديـة المستعملة و تم وصف المواد المستعملة، كما شرحت المضاعفات و وضحتْ ذلـك بـصور فوتوغرافية للحالات المرضية خلال مراحل العلاج المختلفة. كما أجريت مقارنة النتائج لدينا مع نتائج دراسات عالمية مختلفة واسعة و حديثة.
