The
aim objectives of this study is, to determine the optimum distance
for the cavity that can allow maximum light to pass through
according to one of the criteria for assessing global sustainability,
and to study the daylight characteristic of t
hese double facade
windows, In this research, it conducted numerous experiments to
study the effect of doubling the facade design on the standard of
sustainability (daylight factor) space studied.
This paper presents an accurate mathematical model of threephase
induction motor for both transient and steady-state studies. this
model takes into account the network harmonics, Skin Effect and
Stator and Rotor Magnetic Saturation. and to be able
to present the
real motor and its internal physical phenomena better than the
existing classical models.
Orange fruits are characterized at harvesting with physical and sensory
properties determine consumer acceptance and in order to identify these
characteristics and vulnerability storage and irradiation conditions, Valancia
orange fruits were subje
cted to gamma irradiation at doses of 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, and
1.5 kGy using gamma 60Co irradiator facility. Fruits were kept in a refrigerator
for 18 weeks. Results indicated that physical and sensory properties of Valencia
orange fruits were affected by storage time and irradiation. The overall color
differences were increased and the firmness of fruits and skin were decreased.
The used doses of gamma irradiation increased the overall color differences of
fruit skin. Whereas the fruit firmness, and the sensory properties (aroma,
color, test and firmness) of irradiated Valencia orange fruits were decreased.
The effect of applying polyacrylamide polymer on soil crusting, seedling
emergence, infiltration and runoff rates were studied on gypsiferous soils
collected from the Euphrate Basin in Syria The boxes were exposed to the
rainfall 45.48 mm/h using
a rainfall simulator. Total runoff and infiltration
measurements for all boxes were recorded. The boxes were then transferred to
a temperature-controlled room (25±2 °C) for drying. Soil moisture content and
crust strength were measured periodically until 90% water loss was recorded
in the soil. Seedling emergence was also counted daily.
Study was conducted in five locations as the important areas for
pomegranate cultivation and production in Yemen, during the period (15/1–
15/8/2004). Eight accessions of local pomegranate were used in this study:
Taefi, Orkobi, Mellies–Hada, Khaz
emy, Sommaty, Kodary, Chiny and Mellies–
Raudha in addition to the wild pomegranate type (Socotria). The
morphological characters were determined for leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds.
The chemical analysis for juice was also assessed. Maximum rate for fruit
weight was 527.3 gm for Kodary accession, whereas fruit Juic varied between
49.5–63.2%, while peel / fruit was varied between15% in Taefi and 35.9 % in
Chiny, whereas the peel thickness varied between 1.5–4.2 mm. The Scotria was
found to be evergreen, and flowers around the year. Kazemy accession gave
higher fruits number/tree with rate 246.7. The greatest rate of T.S.S and
Vitamin C were 18.57% and 11.12 mg respectively for Chiny accession, and the
highest content of organic acids in these accessions was 0.54 % for Taefi.
The ectopic adrenal corticed were located in close adherent of the main
adrenal gland and they were delineated by a distinct connective tissue capsule.
Cells representing glomerulosa and fasciculata zones were predominant in the
ectopic adrenal cortices. Whereas, cells of zona reticularis and medullary zone
were absent.
