The Rootcanal treatment is considered as the most accurate one
followed in (( dentistry )), which need a right diagnosis and exact
treatment steps to be performed completely for an excellent
prognosis treatments ended by along time –perfect success.
The current study aimed to examine the effects of the modified tandem
appliance on the dimensions of the airways.
Pretreatment and post-treatment cephalograms of twelve patients with
maxillary deficiency, (7 girls, 5 boys; mean age 8±0.5 years), w
ho were
seeking treatment at the Department of Orthodontics, Damascus
University, were studied. These patients were treated using the modified
tandem appliance with rapid maxillary expansion.
The research aim for testing the correlations between the morphology of the bone around the apexes of the central incisors and facial type.the sample consist of 59 patient. They were divided into three groups according to their facial Type.the result
is three groups ,19 short face type, 20 norm face type, and 20 long face type patients, aged 19 to 40 years.we have measured many measurement that determine the relationship between the apex of central upper incisor and its surroundings. The measurements were processed using analysis of variance Anova and Mann-Whitney U-tests and (Correlation coefficient )r .We find that at the upper central incisors, In short face type subjects the root apex of the upper central incisors was farther away from the lingual cortex than in the norm face type and long face type. In long face type subjects the root apex of the upper incisors was farther away from the palatal plane than in the norm face type and long face type.
In this study, 24 patients with posterior skeletal cross-bite were
treated at Orthodontics Department-Faculty of Dentistry in Hama
University. Hyrax expansion device was applied in all patients and
the results were assessed after active expansion
period. Cone
beam computed tomography radiograph were taken at the
assessment times.
Results showed that the midpalatal suture width has increased
significantly at all measured areas. The results revealed that
significant tipping in the canines , premolars and molars was
recorded in this study.
Maxillary stenosis is a common skeletal disorder. There are many surgical techniques used to treat maxillary stenosis in adults. One of these techniques is the surgically assisted maxillary expansion technique, around which studies differed in terms of surgical technique and the resulting structural and alveolar effects.
The constriction of Maxilla is considered a common disorder in daily clinical
practice; which is usually accompanied with narrow nasal cavity. Many techniques are used to expand
constricted maxilla; such as slow maxillary expansion and rapid maxill
ary expansion.
The aim of this study is to evaluate changes in nasal cavity width after slow maxillary expansion by using
Spring Jet II expander in late mixed dentition; and to compare them with changes caused by rapid
maxillary expansion using Hyrax expander .
