Ask ChatGPT about the research

Maxillary stenosis is a common skeletal disorder. There are many surgical techniques used to treat maxillary stenosis in adults. One of these techniques is the surgically assisted maxillary expansion technique, around which studies differed in terms of surgical technique and the resulting structural and alveolar effects.

To determine the stability of transverse skeletal changes following Rapid maxillary expansion (RME) assisted by laser during 6 month period. Materials and Methods: The sample consisted of 23 adults patients with contracting in maxilla and posterior unilateral or bilateral crossbite.
In this study, 24 patients with posterior skeletal cross-bite were treated at Orthodontics Department-Faculty of Dentistry in Hama University. Hyrax expansion device was applied in all patients and the results were assessed after active expansion period. Cone beam computed tomography radiograph were taken at the assessment times. Results showed that the midpalatal suture width has increased significantly at all measured areas. The results revealed that significant tipping in the canines , premolars and molars was recorded in this study.
The constriction of Maxilla is considered a common disorder in daily clinical practice; which is usually accompanied with narrow nasal cavity. Many techniques are used to expand constricted maxilla; such as slow maxillary expansion and rapid maxill ary expansion. The aim of this study is to evaluate changes in nasal cavity width after slow maxillary expansion by using Spring Jet II expander in late mixed dentition; and to compare them with changes caused by rapid maxillary expansion using Hyrax expander .
Distalizition of the upper first Molar is a common treatment modality and very important method to correct Distal Malocclusion, or to create Spaces in the upper arch. The Distal Jet has recently been proposed to distalize maxillary molars in Class II cases with no need for patient cooperation.
Orthodontic treatment is considered successful only if optimal esthetic and function are achieved. The objective of this study was to compare facial soft tissue profile changes produced by a new technique (elastic forces based on skeletal anchorage mini-plates) with changes produced by conventional class-II elastic forces.
