In this research, an experimental study was undertaken on
aluminium using a purpose designed and manufactured
burnishing tool. The experiments was designed to find the effects
of burnishing tool path and ball diameter on the surface
roughness of
an Al-6061 workpiece taking into consideration
many values of burnishing force in the suitable field, where we
have used a new created path and compared its effect with two
conventional paths (zig-zag) and (spiral).
Twenty seven experiments were carried out on samples of Al-
6061, using the full factorial design method with three
parameters: ball diameter, ball path and force, with three levels of
each parameter.
In this research, we have studied the ability of using a trochoidal
curve as a programmable path to finish flat surfaces of
aluminum-6061 specimens using ball burnishing technique. The
experiments were carried out by using the ball burnishing tool
which was designed, manufactured, and fixed on 3-axis CNC
milling machine .
The aim of the study is to evaluate the surface roughness of the resin Tetric N Ceram (Ivoclarvivadent ) after different finishing and polishing techniques. 50 specimens of (10×2) mm were made and distributed in 5 groups (N=10), According to the tech
nique employed: First group G1: Tengustinecarbid burs, Second group G2: Astopol system, Third group G3: Stem discs, Fourth group G4: Tengustinecarbid burs then Astropol system, Fifth group G5: Tengustinecarbid burs then Stem discs. A coarse roughness diamond bur was applied , then applied a super fine diamond bur on all specimens of the study before starting any procedure of finishing and polishing. After finishing and polishing techniques, surface roughness )Ra μm( was measured using InfiniteFocus– Alicona. Data were subjected to Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U test at 5% significance level.
In this research, the optimum rate of burnishing force for
burnishing samples of Al-6061 was found, in order to have the
best finish of the surface .
Different tests were carried out on samples of Al-6061 by
application different values of burnis
hing force without changing
the other parameters of the ball burnishing operation .
The experiences were carried out by using ball burnishing tool
and CNC milling machine with three-axis .
Nickel metal may cause systemic toxicity and allergy
The compatibility of dental casting alloys correlates with
their release of elements .The aim of this study was to
specify the relationship of the release of nickel from Ni-
Cr dental alloys wi
th their composition , and to
determine the effects of thermal treatment of Ni-Cr
alloys during porcelain firing process on the release of
nickel .
Ranging Five Ni-Cr alloys commonly used in clinical
practice were used, They have different nickel
percentage Ranging between ٥٩،٣ and ٨١ % , two of
them containing beryllium .
