This research aims to achieve the observability of any electrical network by the possibility compensation the lost measurements due to a defect, allowing the possibility of state estimation of the electrical network ,ie, obtaining a single solution for a state estimation. This is done by means of the network observability analysing using the available set of measurements and adding virtual pseudo-measurements if the network is not observable. this is done using a numerical algorithm that ensures obtaining the minimum and optimal number of added critical pseudo-measurements so that the result of state estimation was not adversely affected. The algorithm depends on solving the equation of the linear state estimation and the analysing to the triangular factors of the gain matrix and an easy way to arrange the axis of the jacobian matrix ,ie, the measurements matrix to ensure getting the minimum set of candidate pseudo- measurements to be added to real measurements, the numerical algorithm was acheived by environment in the MATLAB and tested to present the results on the network observabilty analysing and adding the pseudo-measurements algorithm on state estimation .The results of the program were tested on IEEE-14 network, and they showed that if a number of measurements were lost, they would be compensated by critical and pseudo-measurements. The results of state estimation showed small error ratio between estimated values using the real measurements and the estimated values after added the critical pseudo-measurements.

Operating the electrical power systems at normal conditions is our goal always. This is what represents the ideal state of electrical power system work. Hence, the electrical power system work in case of insufficient electrical power requires avoid ing since it leads to big losses in national economy. These losses could be huge when we talk about connection borders between systems as per overload frame, because of lack of electrical power request. The impact of these conditions could be noticeably decreased at a reasonable limit of electrical power request. When we find out the optimal solution of electrical power systems operation and the communication lines between them while considering the losses of consumers disconnecting that guarantee the stability of loads. Finally, it is so at full use of maneuver (available cases) spare power properties when applying the instant correction of regime. This paper studies the basic approach to solve these issues which imply the reliability definitions.
Keeping the voltage within the required limits is one of the key issues of operating a power system. since the voltage in electrical power system is affected significantly by changes of loads and equivalent circuit of the power system, there is a ne ed to regulate the voltage with high control ability. Because of the growing use of FACTS in General and STATCOM among them in power systems to improve voltage stability, and because of the need for software that is not always available, the aim of research is to develop a mathematical model, algorithm and software for load flow analysis at the steady state of power system includes static synchronous compensator STATCOM. The Jacobian matrix in the Newton –Raphson algorithm, which is the relationship between voltage and power mismatches, is extended with the STATCOM variables to adjust the voltage and control of the reactive power witch is injected or absorbed at the point of common coupling, with high controlability. A Complete software has been developed that includes comprehensive control facilities and exhibits very strong convergence characteristics. A Sophisticated algorithm has been verified and the effectiveness of the program is tested by its application to a number of standard power systems including the IEEE 5-bus system, and Syrian transmission network 400 kV.
This study aims to design a neural model for a linear or nonlinear systems by using an Evolutionary Programming algorithm (EP) to choose the optimal structural construction for the network. We have used Matlab to design Neural Networks using (EP), be cause of its flexibility and ability to represent matrices (Cell Arrays, Multi Dimension Arrays). The experimental results confirm the efficiency with which this algorithm (EP) obtains the optimal network. We have tested the algorithm performance and the resulting model robustness by canceling one of the hidden layer nodes of the best net resulting from applying (EP). The effectiveness of that canceling on the resulting model output is also tested, and this study has shown the efficiency of the algorithm (EP) for the class of systems used.
with different frequency make Voltage Source Converter - HVDC link (VSC-HVDC links) an attractive technology for most power transport in meshed grids. Advantages are the high controllability of active and reactive power at the converter’s terminals and the ability to increase the stability of the surrounding AC system. VSC-HVDC can provide active and reactive control to achieve maximum power transfer, system stability and improve power quality and reliability. This research aims to develop a mathematical model and an algorithm for the analysis of power flow in a steady state of power system containing VSC-HVDC.The Jacobian matrix inNewton- Raphsonalgorithm, which is the relationship between voltage and power mismatches, is extended with the VSC HVDC variablesto control active and reactive powers and voltage magnitude in any combination. A Newton-Raphson load flow program has been developed which includes comprehensive control facilities and exhibits very strong convergence characteristics. Two scenarios have been studied, back-to-back VSC-HVDC link and full VSC-HVDC link connecting two buses in AC networks. The algorithm and the program have been verified through a number of simulation examples carried out on IEEE 14-bus System.
In this paper, a modern method of restoring service in electrical power systems was examined through an automated coordination center using genetic algorithms.
