Machine Reading Comprehension as Data Augmentation: A Case Study on Implicit Event Argument Extraction

Implicit event argument extraction (EAE) is a crucial document-level information extraction task that aims to identify event arguments beyond the sentence level. Despite many efforts for this task, the lack of enough training data has long impeded th e study. In this paper, we take a new perspective to address the data sparsity issue faced by implicit EAE, by bridging the task with machine reading comprehension (MRC). Particularly, we devise two data augmentation regimes via MRC, including: 1) implicit knowledge transfer, which enables knowledge transfer from other tasks, by building a unified training framework in the MRC formulation, and 2) explicit data augmentation, which can explicitly generate new training examples, by treating MRC models as an annotator. The extensive experiments have justified the effectiveness of our approach --- it not only obtains state-of-the-art performance on two benchmarks, but also demonstrates superior results in a data-low scenario.

Effect of Enamel Thickness on Reading Accuracy of Dental Pulp Pulse Oximetry

Anatomical features and color characteristics of teeth may affect the recipient signals' nature during dental pulp oximetry, enamel tissue thickness may consider of the most important factors. This clinical study aimd to evaluate the effect of enam el tissue thickness of the upper premolar crown on the accuracy of dental pulp oxygen saturation readings. The results of this study indicate that there is a considerable effect of the dental tissue thickness on the dental pulp oxygenation measurement. So; it is of important to find the suitable adjustments on the PO apparatus, probe, or programs, in order to gain less effect of the anatomical variances between teeth, and thus increasing pulse oximetry measurement accuracy.

ReadTwice: Reading Very Large Documents with Memories

Knowledge-intensive tasks such as question answering often require assimilating information from different sections of large inputs such as books or article collections. We propose ReadTwice, a simple and effective technique that combines several str engths of prior approaches to model long-range dependencies with Transformers. The main idea is to read text in small segments, in parallel, summarizing each segment into a memory table to be used in a second read of the text. We show that the method outperforms models of comparable size on several question answering (QA) datasets and sets a new state of the art on the challenging NarrativeQA task, with questions about entire books.

This study explores "And Flowers Know Anger" divan. The poet concentrates on her suffering and her personal hardship for the loss of her husband, the prince Abdullah Bin Al-Mubarak. Her creative experience represented by her connotative poems that emphasize the family relationship, seen in her exceptional relationship with the prince the husband. On the other hand, her revolution and mutiny against the authority of the husband. It also shows us her support for the Arab woman rejecting to be always under the authority of men as being inferior without having her role or even her opinion. Thus she rejects incomplete solutions regarding this issue, but she accepts the authoritative colonization from her husband. The poet was able to formulate the whole event with an innovative pictorial style that shows the sense of belonging, patience, and love towards the family, the homeland, the nation and most importantly, the humanity in general.

Critical Historical Reading of the Law of Unequal Historical Evolution

There are many views on the question of the logic and mechanisms of historical development of human society; visions and answers vary, to the extent of total conflict sometimes, on other issues that relate organically to the first question, perhaps the most prominent of which is the general picture of the historical evolution diagram, Sequentially spherical stages, as well as the question of the so-called nation or the multiple nations that alternately lead the ship of the evolution of human society in general.
