The subgrade soil reaction can be determined by several experimental methods, in site and in laboratory. In this paper, the value of subgrade soil reaction Ks was measured and calculated by using the oedometer test. In addition, the variations of Ks in function of void ratio, applied pressure and time were studied. Three types of normal consolidated clay soil were tested by using odeometer test. The results show that the variation of subgrade soil reaction in function of void ratio decreases at the beginning of the test until a determined value, and then this value increases continuously. This phenomenon can be explained by the fact that while the applied pressure are near the cohesion strength of the soil, the deformation will be negligible and the value of Ks is very high, then it decreases until a determined value, and after that this value increases continuously because the sample can not be deformed any more in the oedometer cell. The value of subgrade soil reaction is variable in function of void ratio, applied pressure, and settlement and it decreases in function of plasticity. For an applied pressure, the value of subgrade soil reaction varies in function of time, where it takes a very high value at the beginning of loading, and then it decreases gradually in function of time until it stabilizes at the end of the test.

Carried out a laboratory experiment in order kinetics study of adsorption of cadmium and lead in the soil, using soil columns experiment, with the use of concentration 26.25 mg / l for cadmium, and 27.81 mg / l for lead, and two degrees of pH 5.5, 0.7, with the use of five parameters.
Brucellosis is an endemic zoonosis in Syria, affecting large numbers of animals and an increasing number of humans. Brucella is an intracellular pathogen capable of infecting animals and humans. The aim of this study was to develop a polymerase ch ain reaction (PCR) protocol for the detection of Brucella melitensis in artificially contaminated cheese.
The aim of this study is investigate in using refrigerants mixtures as substitute to R134a in a testing compression refrigeration cycle designed to work with a mass of 100g of R134a without make changing or modification in the cycle. The new mixtur e that made it is ozone-friendly, safe for using and consists of R134a, propane R290, butane R600, we use three various types of this mixture and the coefficient of performance (COP) and other properties was compared with R134a on the same conditions and on different evaporation temperature. The results shows the refrigerant mixture (M40) has higher coefficient of performance (COP) than that of R134a by about 7.77% and increasing the refrigeration effect about 30% and decreasing the discharge temperature from compressor 3.2% compared with R134a. This study support possibility of using refrigerant mixtures in refrigeration cycle that designed to work with pure refrigerant (single component) without making any change in the cycle also it support the possibility of using refrigerant that have an excellent thermodynamic properties and environmentally friendly like Propane and butane but there are some warning from using it because their flaming.
In this study، a traditional air source heat pump was modified by adding secondary evaporator within hot water tank which acted as a water heat source of the heat pump. We made the heat pump to run alternatively either using surrounding air heat or water heat gained from solar power. We have done experiments during five months starting in December of 2014 until April 2015. Temperature and pressure were measured at specific points of the cycle. Then we defined the enthalpy at each point for both cycles using EES software (which is a software to simulate thermodynamic elements)، and calculated the amounts of heat gained in the evaporator، heat charged from the condenser، compressor work، coefficient of performance ، and electrical power consumed by the compressor. Then we made a compare between the two cycles and found that the improvement ratio in of the modified cycle to the traditional cycle was 77.07%، and the reduction ratio in electrical power consumed by the compressor of the modified cycle was 33.54%.
It is very important to the design and development of natural isolating materials Which are used in the cover-up of solid waste landfill, clay soils or mixtures of these soils and some additions used as an impermeable liner for construction of soli d waste landfill, The permeability coefficient of the materials used in the impermeable system is the most important factors to prevent water leakage into the body of landfill site and to prevent the Leachate of leak into groundwater and soil surrounding the landfillsites. In this research has been the development and design Oedometer cell to study volumetric distortions occurring in these soils as a result of exposure of these soils to climatic conditions during the implementation of impermeable layer or after implementation due to rising temperatures in landfill because of biological interactions taking place at these landfill. It has been modified and the development of Oedometer cell to become a thermal cell So that it can control the degree of heat applied to the sample in the ring of device and then measure the volumetric changes in the sample, Oedometer cell has been linked to the permeability test system with variable head to measure the permeability of the testing sample, It was connected with the digital control , measuring and showing system for temperature and load and displacement.
