The following imines: 1.8.13.20-tetraaza-13.3.6.18-diphenyl cyclotetracosan- 1.8.13.19- tetraene and butyradamantine, N.N’-di (admantyl) terephthimine and 1.5.14.18-tetraaza-2.4.15.17-tetramethylcyclotetracosan-1.8.13.19- tetraene based on dicarbonyl and amines were synthesized by reaction of dicarbonyl compounds and different amines. Aseries of Schiff base and their derivative (fluorene) have been synthesized primary amines was condensed with 2-acetyl fluorene in DMF (dimethyl formamide) in the presence of conc. HCl acid as catalyst to yield the Schiff base (1). The Schiff base (2,3) and (4) were prepared from the reaction of Schiff base (1) with 2-hydroxy-5-methyl-1,3- benzenedicarboxaldehyde and 2,5-dihydroxy benzaldehyde respectively. and The Schiff’s base (4) was treated with monochloroacetyl choride to give 1- substituted-4(2-fluorenyl)-3- chloro Azolidine-2-on (5).
The heterocyclization of unsaturated nitriles and ethyne catalyzed by cyclopentadienyl - ١،٥ - cis, cis-cyclooctadiene-cobalt (I) and promoted by light has been studied in toluene as solvent. Acrylonitrile and substituted acrylonitriles gave satis fying results interesting for the preparation of ٢-vinylpyridines. No reaction was observed using fumaronitrile, maleonitrile and allycyanides. (E)/(Z)-ratio of reactants and products seems not to be influenced within the reaction.
In this work, three new compounds of benzoxazine monomers were synthesized based on (phenol, hydroquinone, 2-naphthol) and triethoxysilyl propyl amine (TESPA) and paraformaldehyde. (TESPA) were used to study its effect on the thermal stability of polybenzoxazine resulting from the ring opening polymerization of prepared monomers.
