This research deals with amain steps related to preparing live
food which is necessary to grow up larvae of different species of
marine family Penaeidae prawn, in this study the isolation of two
species of phytoplankton one cells they are Chlorell
a sp,
Tetraselmis sp, and the specimens are collected from littoral of
jableh and rearing them up in hard and liquid medium in laboratory
in Faculty of Sciences, Tishreen University, in the period between
April and august 2013.
A simple method for laboratory rearing of codling moth on artificial diet is
explained and tested. The present study revealed important aspects of the
insect rearing. Rearing quality raised up to ٩٥٪ under high sanitary rearing
conditions. Optimal
number of larvae in each container (enough amount of diet
per larva) and suitable uncrowded moths in rearing cage were determined to
give the best fertility.
