The technical and economical indexes of most maritime companies in developed countries have improved due to the strict application of the administrative and technical regulations in order to operate their ships, especially after the International Saf ety Management code (ISM) has come into force. With this in mind this paper studies the mechanisms of technical operation in Syrian maritime companies in order to have a realization of the actual reality of technical operations, and also to reach a better status. Data from various Syrian maritime companies are collected and assessed, from which several results are obtained which, when taken into consideration, are believed to lead to improving the technical, economic, and environmental circumstances surrounding the technical operation of ships in Syria. They will also lead to lessening the stoppages that result from malfunctions in these ships, and ultimately reaching a higher level of technical operation and achieving superior outcomes
There are many ideas that come to the mind and many questions that keep coming to the mind when it comes to analyzing the phenomenon of using the methods and tools to help in the planning and making appropriate decisions. In this research we tried to display the importance of statistics and the most important methods depending on the number of variables used in this analysis: descriptive statistical indicators in case we had one variable, indexes in case we had two variables, and factor analysis and analysis of variance in case we had several variables. These methods were applied to production of irrigated wheat crop, both types soft and hard, during the period 2000 - 2010 and the factors affecting its production, such as: the cultivated area, yield, fertilizers, water, the average cost and the average price. Then the data were analyzed using the Statistical package SPSS and program Excel. After that, they summarized in two main factors that justify together (86.116%) of the overall variance. The first factor was related to the land and everything related to it through a set of variables, which are: the cultivated area and the need to fertilizers and water., The second factor was the importance of the selling price of the crop per kilogram.
Genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variance, broad and narrow-sense heritability, expected genetic advance and relative genetic advance of earliness characteristics in six pea hybrids produced by 4 x 4 half-diallel crossing scheme were estima ted. The results, in general, showed low values of phenotypic coefficient of variance (in all crosses) of days to beginning of flowering and days to marketable maturity; which may indicates to a low effect of environmental variation on the expression of both these characters, but were medium to high for number of low internodes and internode's length. Estimates of heritability in broad sense were medium to high for days to beginning of flowering (0.42 – 0.90) and days to marketable maturity (0.42 – 0.91), and biased estimates of narrow-sense heritability have been recorded in most of the crosses and in majority of the parameters studied; so we can’t adopt them as reliable data. The highest estimates of relative expected genetic advance of number for low internodes have been observed in Mutant-3 x Dasargelo (25.95%) and Dasargelo x Nassra (25.11 %) and for internode's length in Dasargelo x Oterlo (37.31 %). The selection procedure can be effectively made for achievement further improvement of internode's length in early segregating generations of Dasargelo x Oterlo hybrid; because it has high values of genotypic coefficient of variance, broad-sense heritability and relative expected genetic advance.
The research was carried out on two classes of hatching eggs obtained from broiler breeder flock ( shifer starbro- Hybird ) 39 and 59 wk of age . In each class the hatching eggs were graded into three groups according to their weights. The hatchi ng eggs of each group were divided into three replicates . Eggs of all replicates were incubated in the same incubator . At hatching (115) chicks were taken from each replicate and fed in separate pen until 7 weeks of age . All conditions of housing, rearing and feeding ( vegetable diets ) were same for all birds of all replications.
