The research aims at identifying the impact of the application of EMS ISO 14001 on the competitive performance of industrial companies in the pharmaceutical Syrian public and private sectors. The research depends on the descriptive analytical method.
the population includes the working people in industrial pharmaceutical companies, public and private in Damascus and its countryside: the results are:
1- Syrian pharmaceutical companies perform well as a result of the application of EMS ISO 14001, which is reflected in the application of the requirements of the EMS 14001. This contributed to making their products compete with foreign products imported, as it is through the quality of its products have achieved a growth in sales, and in the high rate of profit, and increase the value of exports, and most importantly to achieve customer satisfaction.
2- There is a positive correlation and statistically significant between the requirements of the EMS as a whole and competitive performance, and between every dimension of these ecosystems and competitive performance at the level of the sample as a whole.
3- Different pharmaceutical companies both public and private in the application of the requirements of ISO 14001 environmental management systems, and show these differences in terms of environmental policy, implementation and operation of environmental, environmental testing and debugging. With regard to the environmental planning and management review, turned out the lack of substantial differences between public and private companies
يركز المعنيون حالياً و في أغلب البلدان تركيزاً واضحاً على المسائل المرتبطة بشؤون البيئة من خلال الدور المهم الذي تؤديه نظم الإدارة البيئية، لما تسهم به سواء في الحفاظ على البيئة أم في دعم التنمية المستدامة.
و بناء عليه، سنسلط الضوء في هذا البحث على:
- ماهية الإدارة البيئية من خلال العلاقة الكائنة بين عناصر الإدارة و نظم الإدارة البيئية، لكونها:
تشكل الدعامة الأساسية لأي نشاط بشري اقتصادي من خلال الحفاظ على المواد الخام ·
و الموارد الطبيعية و ترشيد استهلاكها.
تلبي احتياجات التنمية المتوازنة من خلال المواءمة بين الاحتياجات الاقتصادية و الاجتماعية و قدرة النظام البيئي بعناصره الأساسية على الاستمرار.
- مفهوم التنمية المستدامة من خلال أبعادها و عناصرها، لما تؤديه نظم الإدارة البيئية من دور في التنمية المستدامة، فضلاً عن الآثار البيئية السالبة للنمو الاقتصادي المتسارع من خلال تعرف أبعاد التنمية المستدامة على المستويين الدولي و المحلي، مع التركيز على المشكلات البيئية ذات الأولوية و مؤشراتها في سورية.
- الرؤية المستقبلية لتكاملية العلاقة بين نظم الإدارة البيئية و التنمية المستدامة في سورية.
