The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical outcomes of
treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders via injection HA &
PRP. The sample consisted of 24 patients with TMD.
This study aimed to Study the effect of Nociceptive Trigeminal
Inhibition (NTI) splint on EMG changes for masseter and
temporalis muscles in TMDs patients , and studying the discomfort
degree to this splint.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical outcomes (pain P ,
joint sounds JS , and diversion in the mandibular movement DMM)
of treatment of anterior displacement of articular disc via injection of
PRP. The sample consisted of 40 patients
who referred to the faculty
of dentistry with unilateral anterior displacement of articular disc
with pain P , joint sounds JS , and diversion in the mandibular
movement DMM.
The aim of this research is to investigate the dimensional and positional symmetries
between the right and left condyles ,and the possible asymmetries between the condylar
processes that could be related to the type of growth pattern in adult subje
cts with no
clinical nor radiographic symptoms of TMDs.
Materials and methods: In result of a multistage clinical examination protocol, 14
Caucasian patients with normal growth pattern ,and with no prior orthodontics treatment
were selected (14 females)from 17 to 29 years of age with no clinical signs and symptoms
of TMDs.
The images obtained from the axial and sagittal slices, Cephalometric growth pattern
study was performed. Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and T-test were calculated.
Results :no statistically significant relationship between the measurements of
TMJ(left &right) and the normal growth pattern.
Conclusions:There is no relationship between the morphology of TMJ and normal
growth pattern in adult female orthodontically non-treated .
Mandible articulates with the cranium via the TMJ. All the components of the TMJ,
including the TMJ disc, seem to be associated with altered characteristics of the
craniofacial complex and its growth. However, the exact role of the TMJ disc thickne
ss
during the process of the facial growth is not clear yet.
Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the association between the TMJ disc
thickness and the facial growth determined according to Jarabak in adult male subjects
with no clinical or MRI symptoms of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders.
Articular eminence participates in the functional formation of the posterior guidance of the mandibular movement, it's the anatomical point where functional stresses can result in alteration of the contours of the articular eminence, and its inclinat
ion respectively, Hence, orthodontists need to know the relationship between the articular eminence Inclination and the mesiodistal inclination of upper and lower incisors to achieve more stable results of orthodontics treatment. Aim The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship of upper and lower incisors mesiodistal inclination with the inclination of the articular eminence in class I skeletal occlusion in adult subjects with no clinical nor radiographic symptoms of TMDs. Materials and methods: In result of radiographic study and a multistage clinical examination protocol, 46 Caucasian patients with no prior orthodontics treatment were selected (19 males, 27 females) from 16 to 27 years of age with skeletal class I occlusion and no clinical or radiographic signs and symptoms of TMDs. Furthermore, cephalometric evaluating of the Inclination of the articular eminence and the mesiodistal inclination of the incisors was performed; Pearson's Correlation Coefficient was calculated to investigate the relationship of articular eminence Inclination with the mesiodistal inclination of the incisors. Results: no significant relationship between incisors mesiodistal inclination and the articular eminence inclination was found. Conclusions the steepness of the articular eminence appears not to vary with mesiodistal inclination of the incisors in skeletal class I occlusion adults with no clinical and radiographic symptoms of TMDs
