The relationship between logical- mathematical thinking and the ability to solve mathematical issue (A Field study with the eighth grade primary students in Lattakia City )

This study aimed to identify the relationship between the logical mathematical thinking and the ability to solve mathematical issue to the eighth –grade primary students and to achieve this goal , the researcher applying the test logical mathematical thinking and test the ability to solve mathematical issue prepared by the researcher reaching study sample (150) students from the eighth grade in the main city of Lattakia . The results showed a strong correlation direct relationship between the scores of students (male\ female) to test the logical mathematical thinking and their scores on the ability to solve mathematical issue where this relationship suggest that the greater the degree of the students in the test of logical thinking increased their scores in the ability to solve Test Sports matter . And because the mathematical proof is a tool for thinking logical sense and flour among students is based on a holistic yiew and a careful analysis of the elements of the issue and then re-installed flexibly . The study suggested the need to develop educational programs that contribute to the development of mathematical reasoning among students , which may help in developing their skills in mathematical proof , and training teachers in the development of logical thinking , and provide the necessary training courses before and during service.

أثر استخدام الطريقة الاستقصائية في تنمية التفكير المنطقي الرياضي في مادة الهندسة لدى طلبة الصف الأول الثانوي ( دراسة شبه تجريبية في مدينة اللاذقية)

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة أثر استخدام الطريقة الاستقصائية في تدريس الهندسة لتنمية التفكير المنطقي الرياضي لدى طلبة الصف الأول الثانوي, و لتحقيق هذا الهدف قامت الباحثة ببناء المادة التعليمية بطريقة الاستقصاء, و عرضها على مجموعة من المحكمين, ثم تجريبها فردياً قبل التجريب النهائي, و طبق اختبار التفكير المنطقي الرياضي على الطلبة بعد الانتهاء من تدريس المادة التعليمية. بلغت عينة الدراسة (120) طالباً و طالبة من الصف الأول الثانوي في مدينة اللاذقية مقسمة إلى مجموعتين تجريبية و ضابطة تحوي كل منهما (60) طالباً و طالبة. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة الفرق بين متوسطي درجات المجموعتين التجريبية و الضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار التفكير المنطقي الرياضي, و قد يعزى تفوق طلبة المجموعة التجريبية لاستخدام طريقة الاستقصاء في تدريس الوحدات المقررة, حيث أن التدريس بهذه الطريقة قد أسهم في زيادة مستوى التفكير المنطقي الرياضي لدى الطلبة بشكل أفضل مقارنةً بالطريقة المعتادة.

The Distribution of Van Hiele Levels of Geometrical Thought for students and Its Relationship with geometric- proof And logical-mathematical thinking (A Field study in Lattakia City )

This study aimed to extent of the distribution of the Van Hiele levels in geometrical reasoning in secondary school students (the second secondary grade), and its relationship with geometric- proof And logical-mathematical thinking, And a random sample of (200) two hundred students was chosen from both genders from the public schools in the Lattakia city, The research used the Van Hiele geometry test, and she used Achievement test for writing proofs in Geometry, And logical-mathematical thinking test. The results showed the Van Hiele levels of geometrical reasoning were present distributed at the first fourth levels with varying degrees in secondary school students (the second secondary grade), and There was a strong correlation between the two variables (Van Hiele / Geometric proof) for students, and There is a strong and positive relationship between the two variables(Logical-mathematical thinking / Geometry proof) for students, and There was a strong correlation between the two variables (Logical-mathematical thinking / Van Hiele) for students.
