We define two classes of colorings that have odd or even chirality on hexagonal lattices. This parity is an invariant in the dynamics of all loops, and explains why standard Monte-Carlo algorithms are nonergodic. We argue that adding the motion of stranded loops allows for parity changes. By implementing this algorithm, we show that the even and odd classes have the same entropy. In general, they do not have the same number of states, except for the special geometry of long strips, where a Z$_2$ symmetry between even and odd states occurs in the thermodynamic limit.

We investigate the statistical mechanics of the periodic one-dimensional Ising chain when the number of positive spins is constrained to be either an even or an odd number. We calculate the partition function using a generalization of the transfer ma trix method. On this basis, we derive the exact magnetization, susceptibility, internal energy, heat capacity and correlation function. We show that in general the constraints substantially slow down convergence to the thermodynamic limit. By taking the thermodynamic limit together with the limit of zero temperature and zero magnetic field, the constraints lead to new scaling functions and different probability distributions for the magnetization. We demonstrate how these results solve a stochastic version of the one-dimensional voter model.
The total entropy production of stochastic systems can be divided into three quantities. The first corresponds to the excess heat, whilst the second two comprise the house-keeping heat. We denote these two components the transient and generalised hou se-keeping heat and we obtain an integral fluctuation theorem for the latter, valid for all Markovian stochastic dynamics. A previously reported formalism is obtained when the stationary probability distribution is symmetric for all variables that are odd under time reversal which restricts consideration of directional variables such as velocity.

We analyze from a general perspective all possible supersymmetric generalizations of symplectic and metric structures on smooth manifolds. There are two different types of structures according to the even/odd character of the corresponding quadratic tensors. In general we can have even/odd symplectic supermanifolds, Fedosov supermanifolds and Riemannian supermanifolds. The geometry of even Fedosov supermanifolds is strongly constrained and has to be flat. In the odd case, the scalar curvature is only constrained by Bianchi identities. However, we show that odd Riemannian supermanifolds can only have constant scalar curvature. We also point out that the supersymmetric generalizations of AdS space do not exist in the odd case.
We construct a class of lattices in three and higher dimensions for which the number of dimer coverings can be determined exactly using elementary arguments. These lattices are a generalization of the two-dimensional kagome lattice, and the method al so works for graphs without translational symmetry. The partition function for dimer coverings on these lattices can be determined also for a class of assignments of different activities to different edges.
We study the Biswas-Chatterjee-Sen (BCS) model, also known as the KCOD (Kinetic Continuous Opinion Dynamics) model on quasiperiodic lattices by using Kinetic Monte Carlo simulations and Finite Size Scaling technique. Our results are consistent with a continuous phase transition, controlled by an external noise. We obtained the order parameter $M$, defined as the averaged opinion, the fourth-order Binder cumulant $U$, and susceptibility $chi$ as functions of the noise parameter. We estimated the critical noises for Penrose, and Ammann-Beenker lattices. We also considered 7-fold and 9-fold quasiperiodic lattices and estimated the respective critical noises as well. Irrespective of rotational and translational long-range order of the lattice, the system falls in the same universality class of the two-dimensional Ising model. Quasiperiodic order is irrelevant and it does not change any critical exponents for BCS model.
