Canonical description of the D=10 superstring action involving supertwistor variables generalizing Penrose-Ferber supertwistors is developed. Primary and secondary constraints are identified and arranged into the first- and second-class sets. Dirac brackets are introduced and the deformation of the Poisson bracket algebra of the first-class constraints is studied. The role of the deformation parameter is played by alpha.

We propose supertwistor realisations of $(p,q)$ anti-de Sitter (AdS) superspaces in three dimensions and $cal N$-extended AdS superspaces in four dimensions. For each superspace, we identify a two-point function that is invariant under the correspond ing isometry supergroup. This two-point function is a supersymmetric extension (of a function) of the geodesic distance. We also describe a bi-supertwistor formulation for $cal N$-extended AdS superspace in four dimensions.

Gauge dependence of one-particle irreducible (1-PI) amplitudes in SU(N) Yang-Mills theory is shown to be generated by a canonical flow with respect to (w.r.t.) the extended Slavnov-Taylor (ST) identity, induced by the transformation of the gauge para meter under the BRST symmetry. For linear covariant gauges, the analytic expansion in the gauge parameter of 1-PI amplitudes is given in terms of coefficients evaluated in the Landau gauge and of derivatives w.r.t. the gauge parameter of the generating functional of the flow. An application to the gauge flow of the gluon propagator is considered.
We propose a way to encode acceleration directly into quantum fields, establishing a new class of fields. Accelerated quantum fields, as we have named them, have some very interesting properties. The most important is that they provide a mathematical ly consistent way to quantize space-time in the same way that energy and momentum are quantized in standard quantum field theories.
We construct a supersymmetric standard model in the context of the Z_{12-I} orbifold compactification of the E_8 x E_8 heterotic string theory. The gauge group is SU(3)_c x SU(2)_L x U(1)_Y x U(1)^4 x [SO(10) x U(1)^3] with sin^2theta_W = 3/8. We obt ain three families of SO(10) spinor-like chiral matter states, and Higgs doublets. All other extra states are exactly vector-like under the standard model gauge symmetry. There are numerous standard model singlets, many of which get VEVs such that only the standard model gauge symmetry survives and desired Yukawa couplings can be generated at lower energies. In particular, all vector-like exotic states achieve superheavy masses and the R-parity can be preserved.

We prove that the swampland for D=10 N=1 SUGRA coupled to D=10 N=1 SYM is only populated by U(1)^496 and E_8 x U(1)^248. With this goal in mind, we review the anomalies for classical and exceptional groups, retrieving trace identities up to the sixth power of the curvature for each class of groups. We expand this idea for low-dimensional groups, for which the trace of the sixth power is known to factorize, and we retrieve such factorization. We obtain the total anomaly polynomials for individual low dimensional groups and combinations of them and finally we investigate their non-factorization, in such a way that U(1)^496and E_8 xU(1)^248 are non-trivially shown to be the only anomaly-free theories allowed in D=10. Using the method developed for checking the factorization of gauge theories, we retrieve the Green-Schwarz terms for the two theories populating the swampland.
