We calculate the form of the corrections to the electroweak interactions in the class of Higgsless models which can be deconstructed to a chain of SU(2) gauge groups adjacent to a chain of U(1) gauge groups, and with the fermions coupled to any single SU(2) group and to any single U(1) group along the chain. The primary advantage of our technique is that the size of corrections to electroweak processes can be directly related to the spectrum of vector bosons (KK modes). In Higgsless models, this spectrum is constrained by unitarity. Our methods also allow for arbitrary background 5-D geometry, spatially dependent gauge-couplings, and brane kinetic energy terms. We find that, due to the size of corrections to electroweak processes in any unitary theory, Higgsless models with localized fermions are disfavored by precision electroweak data. Although we stress our results as they apply to continuum Higgsless 5-D models, they apply to any linear moose model including those with only a few extra vector bosons. Our calculations of electroweak corrections also apply directly to the electroweak gauge sector of 5-D theories with a bulk scalar Higgs boson; the constraints arising from unitarity do not apply in this case.

We investigate $W$ interpretations for the ATLAS 2 TeV diboson anomalies. The roles of the unitarity sum rules, which ensure the perturbativity of the longitudinal vector boson scattering amplitudes, are emphasized. We find the unitarity sum rules an d the custodial symmetry are powerful enough to predict various nontrivial relations among $WWZ$, $WZW$, $WWh$, $WWh$ and $ZZh$ coupling strengths in a model independent manner. We also perform surveys in the general parameter space of $W$ models and find the ATLAS 2 TeV diboson anomalies may be interpreted as a $W$ particle of the three site moose model, i.e., a Kaluza-Klein like particle in a deconstructed extra dimension model. It is also shown that the non standard-model-like Higgs boson is favored by the present data to interpret the ATLAS diboson anomalies as the consequences of the $W$ and $Z$ bosons.
Introducing arbitrary number of neutral Higgs bosons in the electroweak symmetry breaking sector, we derive a set of conditions among Higgs couplings which need to be satisfied to maintain the unitarity of the high energy scattering amplitudes of wea k gauge bosons at the tree level (unitarity sum rules). It is shown that the unitarity sum rules require the tree level $rho$ parameter to be 1, without explicitly invoking the custodial symmetry arguments. The one-loop finiteness of the electroweak oblique corrections is automatically guaranteed once these unitarity sum rules are imposed among Higgs couplings. Severe constraints on the lightest Higgs coupling (125GeV Higgs coupling) and the mass of the second lightest Higgs boson are obtained from the unitarity and the results of the electroweak precision tests (oblique parameter measurements). These results are compared with the effective theory of the light Higgs boson, and we find simple relationships between the mass of the second lightest Higgs boson in our framework and the ultraviolet cutoff in the effective theory framework.

There are steady advances in the calculation of electroweak corrections to massive scattering problems at colliders, from the very beginning in the nineteen seventies until contemporary developments. Recent years brought a remarkable progress due to new calculational technologies. This was motivated by demands from phenomenological applications at particle accelerators: higher multiplicities of the final states, extreme kinematics, need of higher precision and thus of higher orders in perturbation theory. We describe selected contributions from the project Massive particle production of Sonderforschungsbereich/Transregio 9 of Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
We describe the impact of the full one-loop electroweak terms of O(alpha_s alpha_EM^3) entering the electron-positron into three-jet cross-section from sqrt(s)=M_Z to TeV scale energies. We include both factorisable and non-factorisable virtual corre ctions and photon bremsstrahlung. Their importance for the measurement of alpha_S from jet rates and shape variables is explained qualitatively and illustrated quantitatively, also in presence of b-tagging.
We report on a recent calculation of the complete NLO QCD and electroweak corrections to the process $pptomu^+ u_mu e^+ u_ejj$, i.e. like-sign charged vector-boson scattering. The computation is based on the complete amplitudes involving two differen t orders of the strong and electroweak coupling constants at tree level and three different orders at one-loop level. We find electroweak corrections of $-13%$ for the fiducial cross section that are an intrinsic feature of the vector-boson scattering process. For differential distributions, the corrections reach up to $-40%$ in the phase-space regions explored. At the NLO level a unique separation between vector-boson scattering and irreducible background processes is not possible any more at the level of Feynman diagrams.
