We present precision calculations of the processes e+ e- -> 4-fermions in which the double resonant W+ W- and ZZ intermediate states occur. Referring to these latter intermediate states as the signal processes, we show that, by using the YFS Monte Carlo event generators YFSWW3-1.14 and KoralW-1.42 in an appropriate combination, we achieve a physical precision on the WW signal process, as isolated with LEP2 MC Workshop cuts, below 0.5 per cent. We stress the full gauge invariance of our calculations and we compare our results with those of other authors where appropriate. In particular, sample Monte Carlo data are explicitly illustrated and compared with the results of the program RacoonWW of Denner et al. In this way, we cross check that the total (physical oplus technical) precision tag for the WW signal process cross section is 0.4 per cent for 200 GeV, for example. Results are also given for 500 GeV with an eye toward the LC. For the analogous ZZ case, we cross check that our YFSZZ calculation yields a total precision tag of 2 per cent, when it is compared to the results of ZZTO and GENTLE of Passarino and Bardin et al., respectively.

We study, at leading order in the large number of colours expansion and within the Resonance Chiral Theory framework, the odd-intrinsic-parity $e^+ e^- rightarrow pi^+ pi^- (pi^0, eta)$ cross-sections in the energy regime populated by hadron resonanc es, namely $3 , m_{pi} lsim E lsim 2 , mbox{GeV}$. In addition we implement our results in the Monte Carlo generator PHOKHARA 7.0 and we simulate hadron production through the radiative return method.

We discuss the status and some ongoing upgrades of the ZFITTER program for applications at e+e- colliders LEP1/SLC, LEP2, GigaZ, and TESLA. The inclusion of top quark pair production is under work.

The recently completed calculation of the full electroweak O(alpha) corrections to the charged-current four-fermion production processes e+e- --> nu_tau tau+ mu- anti-nu_mu, u anti-d mu- anti-nu_mu, and u anti-d s anti-c is briefly reviewed. The calc ulation is performed using complex gauge-boson masses, supplemented by complex couplings to restore gauge invariance. The evaluation of the occurring one-loop tensor integrals, which include 5- and 6-point functions, requires new techniques. The effects of the complete O(alpha) corrections to the total cross section and to some differential cross sections of physical interest are discussed and compared to predictions based on the double-pole approximation, revealing that the latter approximation is not sufficient to fully exploit the potential of a future linear collider in an analysis of W-boson pairs at high energies.
We consider the $pi^+pi^-pi_0gamma$ final state in electron-positron annihilation at cms energies not far from the threshold. Both initial and final state radiations of the hard photon is considered but without interference between them. The amplitud e for the final state radiation is obtained by using the effective Wess-Zumino-Witten Lagrangian for pion-photon interactions valid for low energies. In real experiments energies are never such small that $rho$ and $omega$ mesons would have negligible effect. So a phenomenological Breit-Wigner factor is introduced in the final state radiation amplitude to account for the vector mesons influence. Using radiative 3$pi$ production amplitudes, a Monte Carlo event generator was developed which could be useful in experimental studies.
We describe how to use ZFITTER, a program based on a semi-analytical approach to fermion pair production in e+e- annihilation and Bhabha scattering. A flexible treatment of complete ${cal O}(alpha)$ QED corrections, also including higher orders, allo ws for three calculational {bf chains} with different realistic sets of restrictions in the photon phase space. {tt ZFITTER} consists of several {bf branches} with varying assumptions on the underlying hard scattering process. One includes complete ${cal O}(alpha)$ weak loop corrections with a resummation of leading higher-order terms. Alternatively, an ansatz inspired from S-matrix theory, or several model-independent effective Born cross sections may be convoluted. The program calculates cross sections, forward-backward asymmetries, and for $tau$~pair production also the final-state polarization. Various {bf interfaces} allow fits to be performed with different sets of free parameters.
