The skew mean curvature flow is an evolution equation for $d$ dimensional manifolds embedded in $mathbb{R}^{d+2}$ (or more generally, in a Riemannian manifold). It can be viewed as a Schrodinger analogue of the mean curvature flow, or alternatively as a quasilinear version of the Schrodinger Map equation. In this article, we prove small data local well-posedness in low-regularity Sobolev spaces for the skew mean curvature flow in dimension $dgeq 4$.
We consider the stochastic electrokinetic flow in a smooth bounded domain $mathcal{D}$, modelled by a Nernst-Planck-Navier-Stokes system with a blocking boundary conditions for ionic species concentrations, perturbed by multiplicative noise. Several
We provide a new analysis of the Boltzmann equation with constant collision kernel in two space dimensions. The scaling-critical Lebesgue space is $L^2_{x,v}$; we prove global well-posedness and a version of scattering, assuming that the data $f_0$ i
In this paper we consider the hyperbolic-elliptic Ishimori initial-value problem. We prove that such system is locally well-posed for small data in $H^{s}$ level space, for $s> 3/2$. The new ingredient is that we develop the methods of Ionescu and Ke
Proving local well-posedness for quasilinear problems in pdes presents a number of difficulties, some of which are universal and others of which are more problem specific. While a common standard, going back to Hadamard, has existed for a long time,
The Cauchy problem for the Zakharov system in four dimensions is considered. Some new well-posedness results are obtained. For small initial data, global well-posedness and scattering results are proved, including the case of initial data in the ener
