We present the automation of one-loop computations in the standard-model effective field theory at dimension six. Our general implementation, dubbed SMEFT@NLO, covers all types of operators: bosonic, two- and four-fermion ones. Included ultraviolet and rational counterterms presently allow for fully differential predictions, possibly matched to parton shower, up to the one-loop level in the strong coupling or in four-quark operator coefficients. Exact flavor symmetries are imposed among light quark generations and an initial focus is set on top-quark interactions in the fermionic sector. We illustrate the potential of this implementation with novel loop-induced and next-to-leading-order computations relevant for top-quark, electroweak, and Higgs-boson phenomenology at the LHC and future colliders.

In this paper we present the complete one-loop matching conditions, up to dimension-six operators of the Standard Model effective field theory, resulting by integrating out the two scalar leptoquarks $S_{1}$ and $S_{3}$. This allows a phenomenologica l study of low-energy constraints on this model at one-loop accuracy, which will be the focus of a subsequent work. Furthermore, it provides a rich comparison for functional and computational methods for one-loop matching, that are being developed. As a corollary result, we derive a complete set of dimension-six operators independent under integration by parts, but not under equations of motions, called Greens basis, as well as the complete reduction formulae from this set to the Warsaw basis.
We verify Standard Model Effective Field Theory Ward identities to one loop order when background field gauge is used to quantize the theory. The results we present lay the foundation of next to leading order automatic generation of results in the SM EFT, in both the perturbative and non-perturbative expansion using the geoSMEFT formalism, and background field gauge.
In this talk, the program package GOSAM is presented, which can be used for the automated calculation of one-loop amplitudes for multi-particle processes. The integrands are generated in terms of Feynman diagrams and can be reduced by d-dimensional i ntegrand-level decomposition, or tensor reduction, or a combination of both. Through various examples we show that GOSAM can produce one-loop amplitudes for both QCD and electroweak theory; model files for theories Beyond the Standard Model can be linked as well.
We present the version 2.0 of the program GoSam, which is a public program package to compute one-loop corrections to multi-particle processes. The extended version of the Binoth-Les-Houches-Accord interface to Monte Carlo programs is also implemente d. This allows a large flexibility regarding the combination of the code with various Monte Carlo programs to produce fully differential NLO results, including the possibility of parton showering and hadronisation. We describe the new features of the code and illustrate the wide range of applicability for multi-particle processes at NLO, both within and beyond the Standard Model.
We calculate the total and partial inclusive Higgs widths at leading order in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). We report results incorporating SMEFT corrections for two and four body Higgs decays through vector currents in this limi t. The narrow width approximation is avoided and all phase space integrals are directly evaluated. We explain why the narrow width approximation fails more significantly in the SMEFT compared to the SM, despite the narrowness of the observed $rm SU(2) times U(1)$ bosons in both theories. Our results are presented in a manner that allows various input parameter schemes to be used, and they allow the inclusive branching ratios and decay widths of the Higgs to be numerically determined without a Monte Carlo generation of phase space for each Wilson coefficient value chosen.
