We explore the phase structure and symmetry breaking in four-dimensional SU(3) gauge theory with one spatial compact dimension on the lattice in the presence of fermions in the adjoint and fundamental representations with general boundary conditions. The eigenvalue phases of Polyakov loops and the associated susceptibility are measured on 16^3 x 4 lattice. We establish a correspondence between the phases found on the lattice and the gauge symmetry breaking by the Hosotani mechanism.

We discuss the significance of charm baryon spectroscopy in hadron physics and review the recent developments of the spectra of charmed baryons in lattice calculations. Special emphasis is given on the recent studies of highly excited charm baryon st ates. Recent precision lattice measurements of the low lying charm and bottom baryons are also reviewed.

Several collaborations have recently performed lattice calculations aimed specifically at dark matter, including work with SU(2), SU(3), SU(4) and SO(4) gauge theories to represent the dark sector. Highlights of these studies are presented here, afte r a reminder of how lattice calculations in QCD itself are helping with the hunt for dark matter.
The extraction of hadron-hadron scattering parameters from lattice data by using the Luscher approach becomes increasingly complicated in the presence of inelastic channels. We propose a method for the direct extraction of the complex hadron-hadron o ptical potential on the lattice, which does not require the use of the multi-channel Luscher formalism. Moreover, this method is applicable without modifications if some inelastic channels contain three or more particles.
Adding a hard photon to the final state of a leptonic pseudoscalar-meson decay lifts the helicity suppression and can provide sensitivity to a larger set of operators in the weak effective Hamiltonian. Furthermore, radiative leptonic $B$ decays at hi gh photon energy are well suited to constrain the first inverse moment of the $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitude, an important parameter in the theory of nonleptonic $B$ decays. We demonstrate that the calculation of radiative leptonic decays is possible using Euclidean lattice QCD, and present preliminary numerical results for $D_s^+ to ell^+ ugamma$ and $K^- to ell^-bar{ u}gamma$.
