We investigate the radiative process of the $Lambda_brightarrow Lambda gamma$ in the standard model as well as models with one or two compact universal extra dimensions. Using the form factors entered to the low energy matrix elements, calculated via light cone QCD in full theory, we calculate the total decay width and branching ratio of this decay channel. We compare the results of the extra dimensional models with those of the standard model on the considered physical quantities and look for the deviations of the results from the standard model predictions at different values of the compactification scale (1/R).

Extensions of the standard model with universal extra dimensions are interesting both as phenomenological templates as well as model-building fertile ground. For instance, they are one the prototypes for theories exhibiting compressed spectra, leadin g to difficult searches at the LHC since the decay products of new states are soft and immersed in a large standard model background. Here we study the phenomenology at the LHC of theories with two universal extra dimensions. We obtain the current bound by using the production of second level excitations of electroweak gauge bosons decaying to a pair of leptons and study the reach of the LHC Run~II in this channel. We also introduce a new channel originating in higher dimensional operators and resulting in the single production of a second level quark excitation. Its subsequent decay into a hard jet and lepton pair resonance would allow the identification of a more model-specific process, unlike the more generic vector resonance signal. We show that the sensitivity of this channel to the compactification scale is very similar to the one obtained using the vector resonance.
We comparatively analyze the flavor changing neutral current process of the $Lambda_b rightarrow Lambda ell^+ ell^-$ in the standard model as well as topcolor-assisted technicolor model using the form factors calculated via light cone QCD sum rules i n full theory. In particular, we calculate the decay width, branching ratio and lepton forward-backward asymmetry related to this decay channel. We compare the results of the topcolor-assisted technicolor model with those of the standard model and debate how the results of the topcolor-assisted technicolor model depart from the standard model predictions. We also compare our results on the differential branching ratio with recent experimental data provided by CDF and LHCb Collaborations.
We explore the properties of dark matter in theories with two universal extra dimensions, where the lightest Kaluza-Klein state is a spin-0 neutral particle, representing a six-dimensional photon polarized along the extra dimensions. Annihilation of this spinless photon proceeds predominantly through Higgs boson exchange, and is largely independent of other Kaluza-Klein particles. The measured relic abundance sets an upper limit on the spinless photon mass of 500 GeV, which decreases to almost 200 GeV if the Higgs boson is light. The phenomenology of this dark matter candidate is strikingly different from Kaluza-Klein dark matter in theories with one universal extra dimension. Elastic scattering of the spinless photon with quarks is helicity suppressed, making its direct detection challenging, although possible at upcoming experiments. The prospects for indirect detection with gamma rays and antimatter are similar to those of neutralinos. The rates predicted at neutrino telescopes are below the sensitivity of next-generation experiments.

We obtain a lower limit on the compactification scale of extra dimension via comparison of the branching ratio in the baryonic $Lambda_brightarrow Lambda mu^+ mu^-$ decay channel recently measured by CDF collaboration and our previous theoretical stu dy. We also use the newly available form factors calculated via light cone QCD sum rules in full theory to analyze the flavour changing neutral current process of the $Sigma_b rightarrow Sigma ell^+ ell^-$ in universal extra dimension scenario in the presence of a single extra compact dimension. We calculate various physical quantities like branching ratio, forward-backward asymmetry, baryon polarizations and double lepton polarization asymmetries defining the decay channel under consideration. We also compare the obtained predictions with those of the standard model.
We discuss prospects of the $Z$ search at the LHC in non-minimal Universal Extra Dimensions with tree-level brane-local terms in five dimensions. In this scenario, we find two major differences from the usual $Z$ physics: (i) two $Z$ candidates close -by in mass exist; (ii) the effective couplings to the SM fermions could be very large due to drastic overlapping of their profiles along the extra dimension. To evaluate the actual situation precisely, we reconsider the important issues of resonant processes, i.e., treatment of resonant propagators and including interference effects.
