In the present paper, we provide an addendum to improve the efficiency of generating unweighted events within PYTHIA environment for the generator BCVEGPY2.1 [C.H. Chang, J.X. Wang and X.G. Wu, Comput.Phys.Commun.{bf 174}, 241(2006)]. This trick is helpful for experimental simulation. Moreover, the BCVEGPY output has also been improved, i.e. one Les Houches Event common block has been added so as to generate a standard Les Houches Event file that contains the information of the generated $B_c$ meson and the accompanying partons, which can be more conveniently used for further simulation.

In this paper, we calculate the total decay widths for the $W^+$-boson decays, $W^+ to B_c+b+bar{s}+X$ and $W^+ to B^*_c+b+bar{s}+X$, up to next-to-leading order (NLO) accuracy within the framework of the nonrelativistic QCD theory. Both the fixed-or der and the fragmentation approaches are adopted to do the calculation. Differential decay widths $dGamma/dz$ and $dGamma/ds_1$ are also given. We find that the NLO corrections are significant in those two $W^+$ decay channels. Our numerical results show that at the LHC, there are about $7.03times 10^4$ $B_c$-meson events and $5.10times 10^4$ $B^*_c$-meson events to be produced via the $W^+$-boson decays per operation year.

In this paper, we calculate the $B_cto J/psi$ helicity form factors (HFFs) up to twist-4 accuracy by using the light-cone sum rules approach. After extrapolating those HFFs to the physically allowable $q^2$ region, we investigate the $B^+_c$-meson tw o-body decays and semi-leptonic decays $B_c^+ to J/psi+(P, V, ell^+ u_ell)$, where $P$ and $V$ stand for a light pseudo-scalar meson and a vector meson, respectively. The branching fractions can be derived by using the CKM matrix element and the $B_c$ lifetime from the Particle Data Group, and we obtain ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi pi^+)=(0.132^{+0.002}_{-0.002})%$, ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi K^+)=(0.010^{+0.000}_{-0.000})%$, ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi rho^+) =(0.755^{+0.030}_{-0.034})%$, ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi K^{ast +})=(0.043^{+0.001}_{-0.001})%$, ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi mu^+ u_mu)=(2.808^{+0.547}_{-0.704})%$ and ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi tau^+ u_tau)=(0.563^{+0.137}_{-0.178})%$. We then obtain ${cal R}_{pi^+/mu^+ u_mu} = 0.047^{+ 0.009}_{-0.012}$ and ${cal R}_{K^+ / pi^+} = 0.075^{+0.005}_{-0.005}$, which agree with the LHCb measured value within $1sigma$-error. We also obtain ${cal R}_{J/psi}=0.200^{+ 0.062}_{-0.081}$, which like other theoretical predictions, are consistent with the LHCb measured value within $2sigma$-error.
Measurements of $B_c^+$ production and mass are performed with the decay mode $B_c^+ to J/psi pi^+$ using 0.37 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected in $pp$ collisions at $sqrt{s}=7$ TeV by the LHCb experiment. The ratio of the production cross-section times b ranching fraction between the $B_c^+ to J/psi pi^+$ and the $B^+ to J/psi K^+$ decays is measured to be $(0.68 pm 0.10,({rm stat.}) pm 0.03,({rm syst.}) pm 0.05,({rm lifetime}))$% for $B_c^+$ and $B^+$ mesons with transverse momenta $p_{rm T}>4 $GeV/$c$ and pseudorapidities $2.5<eta<4.5$. The $B_c^+$ mass is directly measured to be $6273.7 pm 1.3,({rm stat.}) pm 1.6 ,({rm syst.})$ MeV/$c^2$, and the measured mass difference with respect to the $B^+$ meson is $M(B_c^+)-M(B^+) = 994.6 pm 1.3,({rm stat.}) pm 0.6,({rm syst.})$ MeV/$c^2$.
The lifetime of the $B_c^+$ meson is measured using semileptonic decays having a $J!/!psi$ meson and a muon in the final state. The data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $2mathrm{~fb^{-1}}$, are collected by the LHCb detector in $pp$ col lisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $8,mathrm{TeV}$. The measured lifetime is $$tau = 509 pm 8 pm 12 mathrm{~fs},$$ where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.
We study M1-transitions involving mesons: $B_c(1s)$, $B_c^*(1s)$, $B_c(2s)$, $B_c^*(2s)$, $B_c(3s)$ and $B_c^*(3s)$ in the relativistic independent quark (RIQ) model based on a flavor independent average potential in the scalar-vector harmonic form. The transition form factor for $B_c^*to B_cgamma$ is found to have analytical continuation from spacelike to physical timelike region. Our predicted coupling constant $g_{B_c^* B_c}$ = 0.34 Ge$V^{-1}$ and decay width $Gamma(B_c^*to B_cgamma)$ = 23 eV agree with other model predictions. In view of possible observation of $B_c$ and $B_c^*$ s-wave states at LHC and Z-factory and potential use of theoretical estimate on M1-transitions, we investigate the allowed as well as hindered transitions of orbitally excited $B_c$-meson states and predict their decay widths in overall agreement with other model predictions. We consider the typical case of $B_c^*(1s)to B_c(1s)gamma$, where our predicted decay width which is found quite sensitive to the mass difference between $B_c^*$ and $B_c$ mesons may help in determining the mass of $B_c^*$ experimentally.
