We study M1-transitions involving mesons: $B_c(1s)$, $B_c^*(1s)$, $B_c(2s)$, $B_c^*(2s)$, $B_c(3s)$ and $B_c^*(3s)$ in the relativistic independent quark (RIQ) model based on a flavor independent average potential in the scalar-vector harmonic form. The transition form factor for $B_c^*to B_cgamma$ is found to have analytical continuation from spacelike to physical timelike region. Our predicted coupling constant $g_{B_c^* B_c}$ = 0.34 Ge$V^{-1}$ and decay width $Gamma(B_c^*to B_cgamma)$ = 23 eV agree with other model predictions. In view of possible observation of $B_c$ and $B_c^*$ s-wave states at LHC and Z-factory and potential use of theoretical estimate on M1-transitions, we investigate the allowed as well as hindered transitions of orbitally excited $B_c$-meson states and predict their decay widths in overall agreement with other model predictions. We consider the typical case of $B_c^*(1s)to B_c(1s)gamma$, where our predicted decay width which is found quite sensitive to the mass difference between $B_c^*$ and $B_c$ mesons may help in determining the mass of $B_c^*$ experimentally.

The Glashow-Iliopoulos-Maiani mechanism is extremely efficient to suppress the flavour-changing neutral current decays of charmed hadrons induced by the $c to u$ transitions, making such processes particularly sensitive to phenomena beyond the Standa rd Model. In particular, $c to u$ decays with a neutrino pair in the final state are theoretically appealing due to the small long-distance contributions. Moreover, in the framework of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT), the $SU(2)_L$ invariance allows to relate the Wilson coefficients in the effective Hamiltonian governing the $c to u u {bar u}$ decays to the coefficients in the $c to u ell^+ ell^-$ Hamiltonian. We analyze the $B_c to B^{(*)+} u {bar u}$ decays, for which branching fractions of at most ${cal O}(10^{-16})$ are predicted in the Standard Model including short- and long-distance contributions, so small that they can be considered as null tests. Using SMEFT and the relation to the $c to u ell^+ ell^-$ processes we study the largest enhancement achievable in generic new physics scenarios. Then we focus on a particular extension of the Standard Model, the 331 model. SMEFT relations and the connection with $c to u ell^+ ell^-$ imply that ${cal B}(B_c to B^{(*)+} u {bar u})$ could even reach ${cal O}(10^{-6})$, an extremely large enhancement. A less pronounced effect is found in the 331 model, with ${cal O}(10^{-11})$ predicted branching fractions. Within the 331 model correlations exist among the $B_c to B^{(*)+} u bar u$ and $Kto pi u bar u$, $Bto (X_s, K, K^*) u bar u$ channels.
Within the framework of the perturbative QCD approach, we calculate the time-like $B_cB_c(B_c^*)$ form factors $F(Q^2)$ and $A_2(Q^2)$. We include relativistic corrections and QCD corrections, either of which can give about $20%$ correction to the le ading-order contribution, but there are cancellation effects between them. We calculate the cross sections of the $e^+e^-to B_c^-B_c^+(B_c^{*+})$ processes. The cross sections are enhanced at the $Z$ pole to be $sigma^{PP}(Q=m_Z) sim 1.3times10^{-5}text{pb}$ and $sigma^{PV}(Q=m_Z) sim 2.5times10^{-5}text{pb}$, which are still too small to be detected by proposed $e^+e^-$ colliders such as the Circular Electron Positron Collider.
In this paper, we study the FCNC decay processes of $B$ and $B_c$ meson, in which one invisible particle is emitted. Both the spin-0 and spin-1 cases are considered. The model-independent effective Lagrangian is introduced to describe the coupling be tween the light invisible boson and quarks. The constraints of the coupling coefficients are extracted by experimental upper limits of the missing energy in $B$ meson decays. The bounds are used to predict the upper limits of branching fractions of corresponding $B_c$ decays, which are of the order of $10^{-6}$ or $10^{-5}$ when final meson is pseudoscalar or vector, respectively. The maximum branch ratios are achieved when $m_chiapprox3.5- 4$~GeV, where $m_chi$ is the mass of the invisible particle.

Using the existing state of art of the QCD expressions of the two-point correlators into the Inverse Laplace sum rules (LSR) within stability criteria, we present a first analysis of the spectra and decay constants of B_c-like scalar (0^{++}) and axi al-vector (1^{++}) mesons and revisit the ones of the B^*_c(1^{--}) vector meson. Improved predictions are obtained by combining these LSR results with the some mass-splittings from Heavy Quark Symmetry (HQS). We complete the analysis by revisiting the B^*_{0}(0^{++}) mass which might be likely identified with the B^*_J(5732) experimental candidate. The results for the spectra collected in Table 2 are compared with some recent lattice and potential models ones. New estimates of the decay constants are given in Table 3.
A search for decays of $B_c^+$ mesons to two charm mesons is performed for the first time using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb$^{-1}$, collected by the LHCb experiment in $pp$ collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The decays considered are $B_c^+to D^{(*)+}_{(s)} overline{D}^{(*)0}$ and $B_c^+to D^{(*)+}_{(s)} D^{(*)0}$, which are normalised to high-yield $B^+to D^+_{(s)} overline{D}^0$ decays. No evidence for a signal is found and limits are set on twelve $B_c^+$ decay modes.
